Thanks girls for your thoughts on the weekend post. I figured I would let you know how it went today.
Many of you know that he has a rare disease called limbic ensepholitis that stems from a floating lung cancer. To highly simplify it... the cancer and his white blood cells all attacked his brain. He isn't right.
He was doing better for a while and at the wedding and the events around it he was positively amazing. He was more emotional and he kissed all my female guests on the lips during the receiving line (the limbic portion of your brain controls your ability to sensor yourself) but otherwise he was really really good. But since the wedding he has deteriorated.
The doctors saw him today and agreed with us, he is deteriorating. DH said that they feel like they should do more IVCG treatments with him because clearly they are helping. This is good news... if we can keep him more level everyone can lead a happier life. He will never be right again, but at least he will be ok and everyone around him will be better.
