Finally changed my name!

I went to SS and DMV- I'm now legally Mrs. P!!!

I feels happy and sad at the same time. My last name has been part of my identity for my whole life (it's the only way people know I'm part Italian, too). But I also feel so happy to be married to my DH and changing my last name is something I always knew I would do!

And now it'll take less time to sign things and people can actually pronouce it by reading it!!

How did you all feel doing it, if you did?

its feels really strange to change from what u have used all yr life. Its as if a new person has emerged, yet that new person is still YOU.... wierd....

what will be even more strange is when you now sign stuff & you have to pause & think for a minute before you sign

I'll most likely have to think about it before I sign anything. Knowing me, I'll probably sign and say- 'Oh, wait I forgot to sign my OTHER name!'
