I went for my follow up appointment with my MRI's today and found out that I tore my labrum in my hip. Whatever that is. All I know is its painful. I have no idea how i pulled that off. My mother swears its crazy sex positions. She is out of her mind.
I need surgery to fix it however my doctor told me there arent many specialists that do this surgery often and does not want to send me to someone that has only done it a handful of times. I am going to do PT for a month as he calls specialists for me and figures out who to send me to.
This is the same surgery Arod had, would love to go to his doc but hes in Colorado....oh and I'm not Arod so I doubt he cares about me and my busted hip.
Im really bummed out about this.

oh no! i'm sorry you're dealing with all that, but on the bright side, at least they did find out what's wrong. that's got to bring a little bit of relief. ... hang in there and I hope you feel better very very soon! i'll keep you in my prayers!!!

eta: I sent you info on a great surgeon who specializes in these types of injuries. He is located in Great Neck. They have fixed both DH's shoulder labrum and reconstructed his elbow over the years. He was playing minor league baseball & tore his arm up more than once. His pitching arm is now stronger than his other arm thanks to these doctors. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the love and support ladies. I am very happy they finally found out what was wrong and I no longer have phantom pain. I was starting to think it was all in my head! I wish it wasnt something that required surgery tho, but what can ya do. I am very confused at the moment. Have many unanswered questions.

Seriously, that s*cks! Its good that your Dr isnt going to refer you to a specialist who has only done it a handful of times! Hopefully PT will help until you find a specialist who can help you!
