First Anniversary

Did you get a lot of cards wishing you a happy anniversary?

Other than from my husband, as far as family only my mother & my aunt sent us cards. Tim's uncle called to wish us happy anniversary while we were away.

I got a card from my date twin and another friend sent us tulips.

I was surprised at how many cards we got. We even got some gifts. I didn't think anyone would make a big deal of it, but we even got a cake yesterday.

DH's grandparents, aunt, sister and parents gave us cards and giftcards.
A friend of ours sent us a card.
My mom said she has a gift but will wait till we move.

I have to get a card today. hehe Ihave the gift but no card.

Our anniversary is this weekend, and honestly, I doubt we will be getting any cards, except from my mom...even though I am kind of expecting it, I know when the time comes, I'm going to be disappointed.

I got one from my date twin (thanks Wendy!) but DH didn't get me one
His dad and stepmom sent us a card with a check, and my parents are coming to visit next month and said that they're bringing our gift and card with them.
Oh and one of my bridesmaids sent us a card, as well as one of DH's grandmothers.
That's it though!

We actually did, more than I was thinking we would. I expected my immediate family, but we got some cards and phone calls from friends that I really wasn't expecting.

And all of our gifts were 'paper' - checks and gift cards

Our anniversary is this weekend too and we didn't any...well yet at least. And we are having a gathering this weekend. So we may get cards by the end of the week.

We got a few gifts, but very few cards...I was a little hurt because I always send anniversary cards to anyone whose wedding I've been to....and there are people I've been sending cards to for years who didn't send us anything.....

I certainly am not expecting cards for the rest of our marriage, just thought we would get some for our FIRST.

I'm big on sending cards and just figured more people would return the gesture for this ... oh well.

I'm sorry I missed it...for some reason I thought it was the middle of May!

That's it. I got flowers from RIch but NO CARD

I can't believe my dad didn't call us on our anniversary!!

Not there yet, but I know already that my IL's won't be around to celebrate. They are going to a wedding in Poland that is two days before our anniversary. The parents of the groom are DH's aunt and uncle who came here from Poland for our wedding last year.

I must admit I am bummed that we can't celebrate with both sets of parents for our anniversary.

As far as cards, I am sure we will get one from my parents, my parents best friends, my brother, my bridesmaids. They are all card type people.
