First Anniversary Question
Our first anniversary is coming up and we are both not sure what to get each other. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: First Anniversary Question
The 'traditional' gift is Paper. Since the baby will be here soon we are going to do a small gift and it has to work with the 'paper' theme. You can also do a long weekend instead of a gift or perhaps a nice dinner out,or even just make a romantic dinner at home and have your wedding cake. I think the important thing is that you both spend it together.

Re: First Anniversary Question
We booked a long weekend in Montauk, our favorite spot
We also plan to do a day at the spa while there, so that will really be our gift to each other. I think we're going to pass on the whole paper thing - we're trying to save for a house and we couldn't think of anything useful that we actually want and need that is related to paper

Re: First Anniversary Question
we're going away for a long weekend... I figured the best way was to get away for a bit and have fun together... I said no gifts but I cheated and got him a video game he wanted...

Re: First Anniversary Question
We didnt give gifts --- we had a nice (but expensive!) dinner at The River Cafe in brooklyn.....a very romantic restaurant overlooking the manhattan skyline. I would recommend it for special occasions.
