And I was veryyyyy bored. Everyone I work with is very busy - and no one really spent any time with me at all. I understand it's just my first day and all but I really had nothing to do at all except read things and since I don't know much about the business yet, it was kinda all mumbo-jumbo to me ... I didn't want to ask, 'what should i do?' because I knew there was not much I *could* do yet .... but tomorrow I will start asking if there is anything I could watch someone do, etc because I cannot read all day again.
Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Please send good vibes my way for my second day!

aw, yeah, first days are always kinda rough. it's scary being the 'newbie'. I'm sure you'll catch on soon though!! I remember one of my last jobs where I just did not know what to do and basically sat at my desk for hours pretending to clean. lol. Months later when we got another girl working with us, she was up my butt the entire day because she was in the same predicament as I on my first day - just not knowing what else to do!! lol. I definitely didn't mind helping her out. Hopefully people get their act together and start showing you things.

First days are always the worst and so awkward. There is never anything to do, its super boring, and all that reading and training..ughh. But good luck! Positive vibes sent your way!!!

The first day is always the hardest! Don't worry, before you know it you'll have a routine there and feel more comfortable.

First days are always the toughest...actually prob. the first two weeks will be hard. Just try to ask as many questions as you can and get time with someone that you can shadow.

Aw I hope tommorrow is a better day for you. The first week of the job is normally a rough adjustment period. Give it time and things will get better and you will feel more comfortable.

Thank you girls! Met with my boss this AM and got some answers, and he said he'd sit with me later and teach me some things. Going to lunch at 12:30 I think too, so that will get me out of the office for an hour!
