First Thanksgiving as a Newlywed...

and DH has to work!!

I'm very sad...

The one bright spot is now I have an excuse not to have dinner with his family - which I wasn't really feeling.

Sorry! If it makes you feel any better, last year I had the same problem. DH had to work Thanksgiving and Christmas (our first ones married). You'll get through it!

I'm in the same boat Michal! DH is in the police academy and has to report on Thanksgiving. I know I'll have to get used to this since he'll be a rookie for a while and only getting the leftovers for time off.

my DH doesn''t have to work, but is 'on call'
we are spending have teh day with his family & half with mine, so I just hope he doesn't leave me with with his family if he has to go in!

DH DOESNT HAVE TO WORK ON THANKSGIVING, HOWEVER HE HAS TO WORK THE NEXT DAY SO IT KINDA KILLS MOMENTO OF KICKING BACK AND RELAXING.

DH doesn't have to work, but I have to spend it here in Chicago with the ILs.

I usually go home to NY for Thanksgiving and stay in Chicago for xmas.

This is the first Thanksgiving that I won't spend with my family. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday bc my whole family gets together and get to eat my mom's awesome cooking. It will be just the 4 of us eating MIL's bland food.
