Re: First Vday memory.......

VDay actually has importance to us bc when we met in college it was like a week before VDay and DH wanted to hang out with me that night, but my friends and I had plans to go to a bar....

So when I got there DH was there with his boys and and he gave me a card and flower...it was the cutest bc DH was sooooo not that type of guy...his friends were making fun of him to no end

Oh yea and my friends kept taping the freakin card to the dorm door all week

Our first vday was in February 2002. We met and got together in Nov 2001. We had already said the i love yous and he got me a gorgeous heart diamond necklace and diamond studs - my first. I still wear them almost every day. We went to dinner (he gave me the gift in the car before hand, so that I could wear them at dinner) at a great restaurant in Huntington and it was a late res. (10:30pm I think) because he waited forever to make it. I was exhuasted and keeping bopping up and down in my chair to stay awake

He still says I almost ruined dinner because I was bopping in my seat like an idiot, but I remember that date as a really nice night, with excellent food and a great gift

Our 1st V-day was simple in that I made us a nice romantic meal. We then exchanged a little gift. He had gotten me 2 dozen roses and a bottle of my favorite perfume. But it was so special because that was the first time he ever said I love you!

Our first V-day was great. It was our 2nd date actually. He made reservations at a nice restaurant, of course had a prix-fix menu but the food was real good, although it was minimum of $85 per person so he probably thought oh great its only 2nd date W** lol. We had an amazing time, and were there for a while. He made sure that at midnight we would still be there and at midnight he surprised me by having them come out with cake for me for my bday, which is Feb 15th. I thought it was so sweet that he did that for me on just our 2nd date.

He also bought me fire and ice roses, and ever since then he always gets me those.

We use vday as our anniversary date (pre wedding). We started dating in Jan but really had no set date. We had a weird start to a relationship. So we always celebrated vday as our day. I still want to continue doing something w him, I asked him to take off for the weekend this yr. we generally have gone to ac around that time.

We were in high school and he stopped by my house and put a giant card and balloons right inside the door. The I got to school and he had decorated my locker and got me a rose. So cute. The card was so cute it said I love you in a bunch of different languages-I guess he had looked them up online and then wrote them out. So cute.

Our first Vday was great, he bought me roses had the whole apartment filled with candles, bought my favorite bottle of wine and since he doesn't cook he ordered lobsters and filet mignon for a romantic dinner at home, I loved it...and he got me a spa gift certificate.

Re: First Vday memory.......

me & DH never got a V-Day together. Last year woulda been the first, but obviously we were apart for it (neither one could fly out for such a small 'holiday'). I was really sick that day and stayed home from work. Little did I realize that DH had ordered a beautiful bouquet of roses and calla lilies (my FAVORITE) and had them sent to my job. Luckily my sister was filling in that day and she brought them home with her on her lunch break. I was sooo excited! It was the only thing that got me outta bed that day. (I felt sooo bad tho for not being at work where he had them sent. Poor guy. He went thru all the trouble). But that just made me so happy. It really made my day

DH and I were only 15 LOL it was in 1998. He picked me up and we walked to Prima Pasta on Crossbay ($5 pasta plate). LOL We were together only a month. The funniest thing was when we went there they had this great water with fruit in it and little pizza bread things before dinner so it ended up literally being a $10 meal! I was a cheap date

He got me boxers that said 'Love Machine' on them that I wore and never washed because I had to hide them from my mother!!! ANd one of those cute keychains with our names and anniversary on them.

The first Vday with my DH was by far the best ever!

DH was coaching basketball and they had a game that night ans DH usually worked on the weekends. I was of course ok with it, not being a fan of the holiday so I figured we'd just make it up. LOL

Well he didn't think that was a good idea! lol. He took off work, and surprised me in the morning at my apt with my favorite breakfast from my favorite diner and a bo-k of my favorite flowers.

While I was in the shower UPS delivered a gift for me.... a vermont teddy bear. Which I always wanted!!!

That night we went to his basketball game together and after it, we came back to my apt and cooked dinner together. It was so sweet and perfect b/c you could tell he actually put alot into it.

Re: First Vday memory.......

Ours was during college. I hit a snowbank with my car on the way to class so my car was out of commission. DH offered to get it out with one of his dad's work trucks. Anyway, in the meantime he let me use his car all day so I can get to my classes. Later I went to his place to return his car and pretty much just pick up mine. We weren't officially dating but as soon as I pulled up, I saw my car covered with red pink and white roses all over the hood. I couldn't believe it. He gave me a card and a teddy bear, The bear was holding a box and inside was a David Yurman ring that was unbelievably gorgeous. The card he picked out had two bears on it and inside it said something about honnie bears but it seemed more like a hubby/wife card than a valentine's day girlfriend card so I did point that out to him and kinda made fun of him for it so ever since I've been calling him my bear lol. Overall I couldn't believe how amazing the day turned out to be, I'll never forget it.

Well, last year was our first V-day together. I really don't like Vday and STRESSED that DH...so I said we'd stay in. We did, but he got all our favorite sushi dishes and roses and a card and a romantic movie on dvd (but I can't remember which one!!) and brought it all over and we had a candle light dinner and then cuddled on the couch watching the movie.

It was the best Vday ever. We decided to make that our tradition every year!

our first v-day was in '99, we were broke and in college- he got me a dozen heart shaped balloons, because that was what he could afford and I made him cupcakes. We went out to some small mexican place and drank sangria all night- it was fun

Re: First Vday memory.......

1st V-day together DH had just started his job so I only saw him on weekends due to the crazy work hours. it was a special treat to see him during the week and I remember being so excited..I.

he came to my house and brought me flowers and gave me sapphire and diamond earrings to match the necklace he had given me that christmas. we went out to eat...then we got ice cream and watched BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS (since I had just read the book).

this is so little but the best part was the box the earrings came in...he didnt wrap it but he drew red hearts all over it. i still have that box
