Yeah so I attempted to go to work this morning and spun out, then 2 more cars spun out as well further up the road, so I decided to go home. I can't work from home so I have to take a personal day!

It was not a fun drive for me either this morning. The plows were just starting to appear when I was almost at work.
same for me..and i was shocked at how crazy some people were still driving stupid people
but i live about 7-10 miles from work (if that) and it took about an hour ridic...i wanted to leave work as soon as i got here

lol its cool b/c i would have totally posted the same thing if i were you!!! lol
if it makes you feel better, i had to use a sick day.... i work in a day treatment program for MR/DD adults and when it snows really bad, they close it b/c they dont want anyone to get hurt... and the staff can either use a sick day OR go work at one of the group homes for the day as a direct care staff... since i have like a week of sick days, i was selfish and used a sick day

YES it is raining... pretty wildly i must say!!
just spoke to DH as well.. he says the roads are starting to get better b/c the rain is washing everything away! (we're on the southshore in western suffolk)

Howdy from Rhode Island:
I'm at work and I'm one of the only idiots here. Almost all the schools are canceled in the state. We have about 3-4 inches so far but its all supposed to turn to rain.
