Re: for fun...your first post!

My first post was pretty short. And Shelby9201 was the first to respond.

Danford Inn
Has anyone ever been to or had a reception at Danfords on the Sound in Port Jeff? The info I've received from them looks good but I've never been there for an event.

My first post

Re: for fun...your first post!

this is a fun!! here is my first post and LisaW was the first person to respond to me:

Hello all. I am relatively new to this site so any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Anyway, for our wedding we have booked the photography company 'Visual Concepts', based in West Islip for our wedding. We were very impressed with them, which is why we booked them. I just wanted to know if anyone else has used them and if they have any positive or negative experiences to share.

Thanks,

Christine

Re: for fun...your first post!

My first post that I could search for was a reply to someone's question about Lillettes (7/24/01). I know I posted before that though ??

As for an actual post I started - well, I was shy at first, so it was probably months before I posted and started a thread!!

Re: for fun...your first post!

this is a cute thread !! My first posts were also screwed up because i've been here so **** long.

We're all so corny that I LOVE IT !!

My first posts are out there, but the screen name is *** out, i dont know why. so its hard to look them up. (we discussed this in another thread, right JennRenee? very meaningful to us, and hurtful that we are not given credit for all our posts!)

It looks like all mine are there, but intermingled with other peoples responses. I can tell that some of a post is mine, but then there is stuff added to it that I know is not me!! Then there are other post with my name on it that I KNOW are not me!! I know the bold part is me, but the othe part is not!!
It also says this was posted 2/2000...... but i don't think I posted this till April maybe..... WOW!!! I have been on these boards for over 3 years already!! But in looking through this is probably my first:

We went to look @ the place of my dreams for a reception (he loved it too!!!), but as we were discussing prices, I was given Sunday evening prices for a 4th of July weekday wedding. Does this seem right, when on their pricing list they say off season pricing is available? I was not sure how to approach this at the time, but how WOULD I go about it now? Regardless, the prices are reasonable anyway, but I was just wondering the right way to approach this. Thanks for any input!

I'm also getting married at Milleridge and wanted to know how you went about ordering your cake. Can you have any combination of cake/filling that you want or do they have a set list? Also, when did you order your cake?

Re: for fun...your first post!

I don't remember my first post because I was a lurker in the beginning (although I could go do a search), but I do remember my first 'fight'!! LOL I was accused of being the worst wife in the world and I didn't respect my hubby and blah blah blah (or some such nonsense) and who came to my rescue -- JENNRENEE!!!! That was the infamous 'furniture' post, which is what started me posting!!!

Re: for fun...your first post!

Sadly, here is my first post. I found this site because I was looking for info on Mark from Videomaker after he had run off without delivering my weding tape!

'My videographer appears to have skipped town. He already shot our video and has part of our money. Someone told me that I could get info from this board. Does anyone know anything about this guy? He is in Deer Park. I don't want to use his name (incase this rumor is not true)

Please help! Thanks! '

Re: for fun...your first post!

Lisa, it's a biggie because I first posted my saga in one post and then several months later I gave an update and that's when a 'phony' newlywed gave it to me -- funny, that was her one and only post! Well, under that name!

Let me do a search and I'll do it tomorrow, since I'm getting ready to leave soon!

Re: for fun...your first post!

Ok, here is my post about the furniture that apparently ticked off phony newlywed.... The original post was a question about sharing the armoire and dresser space!!!

The dresser is for my stuff and the armoire is for his IF WE EVER PICK IT UP FROM MY MOTHER'S HOUSE!!!!!! We decided to keep, or I should say I decided to keep, my bedroom furniture because it's fairly new and I love it. He's not too thrilled w/it, but I figured we'll buy a new set when we buy a house (in a year or two). Anyway, the game plan was to rent a U-Haul and get it the weekend we came back from our honeymoon, well that was in OCTOBER and it's now almost March and where is the bedroom???? I'm living out of 2 big rubbermaids and a suitcase AND I'M READY TO KILL HIM. I think 4 months is enough time being patient and now I'm becoming 'the b*$' -- well too bad buddy. Seriously, I love him to death and he'd do anything for me, but he's been a big procrastinator about this!! I think the major reason is because he thinks this furniture is going to be heavy and my parent's live on the 3rd floor (no elevator)!!! I keep telling him that once you take the drawers out and the mirror off, it will be light.

So last night, after trying to find a pair of socks that matched and packing to go up to his mother's this weekend (Poconos), I had a MAJOR FIT and threatened to dump all the clothes all over the place, but HELLO, I'm the one who'll pick them up, so I controlled myself. Anyway, he said he's going to go and look at it again and 'assess the situation' -- WHAT THE HELL IS THERE TO ASSESS, HE'S SEEN THE DAMN BEDROOM FOR 3 YEARS NOW!!!! GOD BLESS MEN! They are totally from another planet.

Here's the best part though, our bedroom wall needs to 'grow' 7 inches in order for both nighttables to fit on either side of the bed (and the headboard sits on top of them). That aggrevates me, but I told him I could deal with only one being there and we could put the other somewhere else, but we can't do anything unless the furniture is actually IN THE ROOM!!!!

Whew, sorry to go on and on but once I saw this post it made my blood boil again because I WISH I HAD FURNITURE to argue about who's clothes go where!!!!

Re: for fun...your first post!

How do I get the whole post without cutting and pasting? Spastic me doesn't know what the heck I'm doing!!!!

Edited to say it's the post I started that says '6 mos. anniversary gift' and was from 3/27/02 -- just in case any of my computer-literate pals want to help me out...
