For girls who got married at multi-reception venues..
Did you see another bride on your day?I actually saw two brides! It was funny becuase our BM was standing in front of me blocking me because he didn't want me to see another bride. At that point, I honestly didn't even care!! Looking back, I don't see why girls make a big deal about 'being the only bride' at their RH. It didn't even faze me!

There was another wedding going on at the same time as mine! I never saw the bride though. I wouldn't have cared though! I would have actually liked to congratulate her! She did meet some of my guests though...when they crashed her wedding and she personally threw them out lol I let her guests stay at mine though!

we are LIW friends!!! and we actually DIDN'T see each other on the day of our weddings but the MD came up to me and said...'amy says hello and congratulations and that she saw you from afar and you're beautiful'....it made me SOOOOO happy!!!!!

I was lucky and was the only bride that day ( probably because it was a Thursday night). There was a sweet 16 upstairs though and I saw some of those guests walking around.

Leonards was my hall and a big wedding factory place..I never saw another bride even though I knew there were other brides in the building. My bridal attendant told me that they are required to check hallways at all times to make sure brides never see each other while inside the grounds...

No. There was only one other wedding my day and it was over a little after my reception started. There ended up being a corporate party though but it was out in the pavillion and that didnt start till after my reception started.

I actually had NO IDEA there was a wedding going on upstairs! None. Didn't see a bride or groom or other guests. I only knew after the fact when someone said there was another wedding going on. CLM did good!I wouldnt have minded either. I'd probably be excited that we had the same wedding day.

No, if there was one, I didn't see her.I never quite understood the whole 'I don't want to see another bride on my wedding day' thing. Give me a fkn break, how cocky. Yes, Virginia...there ARE other people who got married at the same place, same time...

Re: For girls who got married at multi-reception venues..
I didnt see another bride but there was another party that I did see the girl that they were honoring. It was some kind of all woman party with the girl dressed up in maybe some kind of Egyptian outfit. It was actually pretty cool and I am still wondering what kind of party it was.

Same here Colleen! I wasn't sure if I wanted to get married at a multi-reception venue but when it came to that day and I saw multiple brides I just felt happy for them as they were going through what I was going through at that moment. It was almost like I didn't feel alone and they knew what I was going through as well!

Re: For girls who got married at multi-reception venues..
Nope! I saw a young girl outside her room with her court for her Quinenera (sp?) Waiting to go in but that's all. I also have to say. The thought of seeing another bride never bothered me either. As mentioned above I would have congratulated her and wished her and her new hubby the best. There was another wedding going on during mine. I just never saw her.I take that back I did but at the hotel during a massive screw up on their part where they gave away 90% of her blocked rooms including her bridal suite. I felt terrible for her and her group. My group had about 5 rooms given away. Some decided to bunk together others were shuttles to another hotel. It was a freaking mess!!! There for I do NOT recommend laQuinta in GC. They don't tell you that they have a contract with many of the airlines and should pilots and flight attendants need a room to stay in. Guess what YOU get bumped!!!!!! Just an FYI
Eta: DH and I thankfully didn't have a problem with our room because my SIL checked us in at lie 2:30pm when she went there. Otherwise we wouldn't have had a room either.

We booked with LaQuinta too and had SO many problems. I knew about the pilots and flight attendants because a promise I was made and then taken back. I did write a VERY lengthy letter to the company and got a formal apology from the GM with explanations. He also sent me 2 vouchers to stay at any LaQuinta in the country (for any 2 nights) which I thought was very nice and a free upgrade if we stay in his hotel. DH and I are going to Florida to visit family so one night we're going to do our own thing and stay at a LaQuinta. Another time I'm going to try and get a room in the city for us and just see a show and go to dinner. If I want to go to GC I would just drive there, seems too silly to stay on Long Island for us.

Re: For girls who got married at multi-reception venues..
For me it wasn't about not wanting to see another bride, I would have loved to see some of my date twins on my wedding day! It was more that I liked the idea that our wedding guests had run of the entire Woodlands. They could go anywhere inside/outside and not have to worry about running into another party. It was nice knowing that anyone I saw that day was someone who was there celebrating our wedding. And I knew there wouldn't be anyone from other parties coming in to my wedding. It's not always a wedding that you're sharing a venue with... I went to a wedding once and there was a Sweet 16 going on in the other room and the kids kept popping in to my friend's wedding. It was obnoxious. That wasn't something I wanted to deal with.

Yes and I wanted to congratulate her! But she was on the other side of the gardens taking pics and when the Md and BA saw, they freaked out trying to rearrange us. I was like who gives a sh!t!I really didn't like having to be kept in a room for these situations. I didn't care. But who knows, maybe the other bride cared.
