When I posted the dinner thread, others have answered that they, too, get home late, such as at 8:30pm. So by the time you eat (9:30 or 10pm), and shower, etc., when do you have time to talk to each other?
We're usually so exhausted after dinner, that we just crash in front of the TV until we fall asleep at about 11:30pm. Our conversations take place during the 45-minute commute (he picks me up from work).

I get home early but DH gets home at 9. We chat for an hour and then go to bed
Even though he has to wake up at 5AM on the weekends, he always stays up until midnight on Friday and Saturday so we have a little more time together.
Soon, he will get home at 11 so even that won't help - so then I try to leave work early and he will take a long lunch and we will go out for lunch.
IT STINKS!!!!!!

We dont see one another much fo the week so we talk during my lunch break and ym walk to the port authority. When we're both home mid-end of the week we talk while making dinner and catch up.
Its difficult but we make it work because its important to us t feel connected even over distance.

We chat during the day once or twice, then during dinner--usually around 8:30. If it's going to be any later than that, I tell him to do his own thing for food. We try to make an effort to sit at the kitchen table without the tv so we can focus on each other. Then we watch a little TV but also chat during. We make it work, but I do wish I got home earlier.

We talk thru out the day....phone calls... I get home late twice a week. I get home and we usually have 3 hours before bed time. I eat something light...dh usually has something ready to eat for me when I get home. We talk when I eat...he tivos our fav shows and we watch them. Then we usually have a wind down time..with tea and our books together in bed. Then we lol
I recently gave up working weekends besides swim meets occasionally!! So we enjoy spending time together then....On my days off during the week I see my family and twice a month I go out with the girls!!!

I work late monday - friday, I'm usually home around 10pm. I cook in the am before work and leave it for dh to re-heat when he gets home around 7pm. I have the routine down for when I get home so I can spend an hour with dh before he goes to bed. We talk periodically durring the day unless one of us is too busy then we try to take care of it at night when I get home.

Usually all of our longer convos end up being on the phone as he drives home from work b/c he is soo tired when he gets home it is late.
We are quiet during dinner. It is nice a peaceful
Something about that silence is comforting to us.

DH and I get home late from work so try to go home together on the subway, where we talk and go out to dinner 2 or 3 times a week, just the two of us, where we talk. We also keep in contact through emails throughout the day.
