? For those who had their 1st Anniversary- sending cards

Did your parents /close relatives send you a happy 1st anniversary card or call? Only one set of parents did and I'm curious if everyone recognizes or remembers - or do most people forget? I've been trying to send out Anniverary cards to family & close friends the past few years.
Is this something that should be done or somethign that shouldn't be expected?
thanks!

Oh Peacock...are you ready for this one.... Even though we haven't celebrated our anniversary yet....we've already rec'd a card from my Dad (a mth PRIOR) and my Aunt (a mth PRIOR)

Ummm... I seriously had a mild panic attack when I opened the two cards thinking....OMG...Did you anniversary happen a mth earlier?

All in all...I would say it's something that's not expected. Maybe from Parent's, but not anyone else.

My parents sent a card (DH's parents are deceased). I was amazed that my boss, a colleague, friends and some wedding guests sent us cards too. A couple of friends from overseas even called on the day. I was amazed! DH's siblings didn't send a card and my sister didn't, but we did get a nice gift from her.

My parents bought us a gift (clock). DH's dad gave us $50. And some relative sent cars (my sis, his sis, a random aunt or 2). I didn't expect it, though. I did kinda expect something from my parents and his dad, though. But I really shouldn't have.
