How long did it take for you to receive your final video after the wedding ? I am having a problem with my videographer, long story, and just would like to get an idea of how long it typically takes.

I didn't receive our video yet but I was told by Patken that it would be 16-20 weeks from the time we handed in our baby pics and song selection.

I think the 'average' seems to be 3-4 months from when you submit all your stuff (song choices, any pics - baby or honeymoon - you want to include etc). I have heard of 6-9 months for the video too!

Thanks ladies. My videographer moved to Vegas to be the personal photog for Criss Angel, so someone else did the shoot. Now the original guy wants to do the editing, but he never calls us. Never called to let us know he was moving (we found out from a neighbor) never called us to let us know if he or someone else was dong the shoot ( I had to call him several times before I got an answer), I found the phone number of the guy who did the shoot and spoke with him because guy #1 never called me back. He was supposed to call us last week to let us know who would do the final editing, but never called us, so we called last night. He 'might' be in NY during the holidays so he can do some editting then, will call us next week to let us know. Not holding my breath for this call.
I have a serious trust issue with him right now, and I prefer to have the guy who shot our wedding do the final editting.
Am I being unreasonable ?

Are YOU being unreasonable? HE LLLLLLL NO! He's being unreasonable by wanting to do the editing but not having any idea when or if he'll be able to do it!!
I would ask that the person who shot your video do the editing - any reason why he wouldn't do it???

Needs to have the original a$$hole to give him permission to do it. I am going to talk with the guy #2 tonight,then leave a message with guy #1, telling him that he can keep the deposit just release the contract, or I will terminate it for him for breach of contract (I paid in full in good faith but have no delivery or expected delivery of the goods). Just to clarify #2 is holding the check. #1 HASN'T EVEN CONTACTED HIM ABOUT THAT !
