Fortunoff

Ok ladies -- I braved the madness this afternoon and went to Fortunoff. Seriously people are nuts -- you would have thought they were giving away the store.

Honestly sales were not that good -- IMO. I went looking to see if I could get a bargain on some of the crystal we didn't get at the shower or wedding -- well most of it was originally marked higher then it is at BBB and then it was only 10% off -- you can use your 20% in BBB and get it for cheaper.

So if there is something you really want they only Fortunoff Carries then I say go for it but go EARLY -- if not go to BBB save some money and a headache!

I went yesterday too, but got there at like 10am. It was a madhouse at 12 when I left.

I thought the same thing about the BBB 20% coupons!! The most I saw off was 10% off small appliances. And there was like nothing in stock. Its hard to shop for that stuff less than a year after you got it all for your shower.

If I didnt have a GC, I wouldnt have bothered.

They gave me cash back for my GC b/c I had purchased something in Jan that they werent able to get in stock and ship to me.

I should left w/ my cash and went to BBB to get what I really wanted, but I was so frazzled in that place that I didnt think of that. I ended up buying towels that I didnt REALLY need and a coffee bean grinder for DH.

I think the liquidator upped the prices then gave 10% off.

I'm braving it today (with DH ), only b/c we have a gift certificate.

they are not accepting any gift cards cupons or points....

we went yesterady and we lucked out with luggage.... 5 peices 350$ where one large peice was orig 200$

def worth it for us. goood luck

Do you have a GC?? if so USE IT!! They announced on Wed that they are accepting gift cards and merch credit until March 8th in stores. They had a lot of complaints about it so they had to.

I just used mine yesterday and i know someone who had over $3000 worth of GC and credit and used it all!!

Call the number on the back of your gift card. I called last week and the customer service rep was very nice and told me the balance of my 6 gift cards.

I went to the White Plains store on Wednesday and it was pretty empty. I spent almost 3 hours in the store and used all but .59 cents of my gc!

I actually never bought anything from them before I registered there. Only gifts for other registrants, but not for me. I found dishes I like there that they didnt have elsewhere so I went w/ them. You can get the same stuff in BBB minus the lladro stuff that i 'm not into anyway

I really need to go. I have a GC from my shower. Does anyone know if there is a location besides the Source on Long Island? We are out east. You can't even find the store locations online anymore. Also did they have any sheets and stuff left? I think that would be the easiest thing to go in and just grab.

If you are out east then the source is the closest to you.

They still had lots of sheets and towels and other stuff. The problem I had was that I wanted white towels and they only had them in the bath sheet for the brand I wanted. So, I had to settle on another color. They still have lots of stock, but its more sparse than normal.
