SO what I gloriously refer to as the fashion superbowl is on this Sunday evening.
The Oscars Red Carpet
A lot of us get so much inspiration for our wedding dresses, hair, makeup from the red carpet. How many posts did we see last year of Kate Hudson's hair or Beyonce's makeup??
If you got the chance to walk the red carpet at the Oscars, whose looks would you most want to re-create?

I have a top 3 (although I'm sure I'm forgetting so many)..
#1 Reese Witherspoon-I love the layers of this dress and how the color ombres at the bottom. Plus her simple hair and makeup look perfect and very wearable.
#2 Anne Hathaway-this dress is pure glamour!!! The dress is made of all pailettes that are shimmering gorgeousness! And I love that she did a classic red lip with her hair pulled back. WORK!!
#3 Isla Fisher-this is probably my all time favorite look from the Oscars-and funny, it's the 'simplest'. First of all, I love the COLOR of this gown next to her hair and skin color. I love the belt and the chunky bracelets. I love her super dark nails and her big va va va voom hair. I think she looks stunning and sexy without going overboard.

Great question! There are three that always stick out to me:
Jennifer Garner's 2004 look. It's hard to pull off something asymmetrical and/or a color like that, but she does it so well. I love how natural her make-up is:
Heidi Klum's 2008 look. HELLO dramatic collar! I love it!
Katherine Heigl (don't remember the year). Once again, I love the one shoulder (obviously, my wedding dress had it haha), and it's just such a perfect, thought out look:

there are so many, I will have to find some... I had a great article about the Top 25 Red Carpet Dresses but my in-laws lab ate it.
This was always one of my favorites...

By the way I agree the red carpet is great... but I love Oscar night for what it is, a dedication to movies!!! After all was a film major. I miss Film School Oscar Night. We threw some FABULOUS parties.

The first is Catherine Zeta Jone's 1999 Oscar dress - I have always loved it.
Also, I think Helen Mirren is incredibly gorgeous and is the perfect example of aging gracefully - it doesn't mean you have to be dowdy and dumpy!!!

Definitely Halle Berry's 2004 dress...I LOVE it, and I even have a tank that tried to knock it off that was always a little tight on me but I bought it anyways just because I wanted something like that dress lol.
Close second Marcia Cross' Elie Saab from either the Emmy's or Golden Globes a few years back, can't remember which, but I went on an epic search for an emerald green dress afterwards and am still looking for the perfect shade to this day.
