I'm the marketing coordinator at a promotional products distributor. I am basically in charge of putting together our catalog, from getting pricing and information from our vendors, relaying the info to our various printers, editing the catalog...I also coordinate the mailings, either bulk or targeted, research lists, manage the collegiate licensing accounts, and do inside sales as well.
I hate my job.
I wanted to be a wedding planner before I was even engaged, even bought a book on how to start up the business, and now...not so much. Maybe on the side, one day. I'm very entrepreneurial, but generally lack the balls, and am too cheap to ever start up a business. I've wanted to sell my crocheted items, my jewelry, my paper goods, everything all at one time...never happened though. DH and I would love to open a restaurant one day, or start a photography business, but I'm sure that won't happen either.
My dream job was always to be a linguist...research dead languages, pick them apart, eventually maybe be a professor in the linguistics dept at SB...I loved loved loved my linguistics classes, and it was my major, until I realized that it's really not a practical field to get a job in, so switched to business, and I regret it every day.
