Re: frozen wedding cake

I would think to take it out that morning. Are you really gonna eat it? I guess that you have to, it's tradition.
Happy one Year
Anniversary!!!

Re: frozen wedding cake

We ate ours on our first anniversary and it was really good. My DH wasn't sure if he wanted to eat it but it really did taste good. The icing tasted so fresh.

Our bakery also gave us another cake that matched the top of our cake for our anniversary. So we ended up having a piece of each that night. Right before our wedding I had ordered a wedding cake box and stored it in that until we ate it.

Re: frozen wedding cake - update

we ate our cake last night...DH had two slices!!! It was a bit dry and the strawberries were freezor burned. But it was still pretty good!!!
If I would do it again, I would eat it at the one month mark only because we had strawberries in it, they don't defrost well!!!

Re: frozen wedding cake - update

I am so not looking foward to tasting my cake, even though I didn't eat much of it the day of the wedding. I could just imagine what it tastes like now. My mom wrapped it really good in plastic wrap, then put it in the box. Only a few more weeks and I will find out how great it tastes!
