funniest thing happened

Last night DH and I went to dinner with another couple. There was a wait for the table so we were at the bar. The couple we were with bumped into some people they knew so they said hello to them and introduced dh, i was right behind but getting a drink. Then I turn around, i was right behind dh, and dh says 'this is my wife' i shake the guys hand and say 'im Denise' it was noisy so he didnt hear me and he said 'did you just say stacey?' right that moment i burst out laughing and i turn to dh whose face is just white and couldn't believe it. I'll just say that out of every name in the world that is the one name not to call me the guy made an honest mistake so i didnt get mad. Even if his friends were like OMG The guy was confused and i just said 'its ok but that is the one name out of any name not to say' but i laughed it off. DH was still traumatized even after. We were all joking about it but dh didnt find it funny lol. I asked him what went through his head when it the guy said that and he said that at first he was like 'no this didnt just happen, i know i heard wrong' and that out of ANY name he could've said how does he say that one name.

If you knew the situation you would know why its histerical lol. It was even funnier than the time I first started dating Dh and i went to his cousin's birthday party and he introduced me to his cousins husband and her husband said 'oh yeah i met you before at that party last year' and yeah he hadn't lol dh just stood there like no you haven't i knew right away who he thought too bc dh only dated 1 other blonde before me. Again i didnt get mad bc these things happen.

dh gets upset when he introduces me and then they call me michele, I use to get mad, but no more. his one friends wife use to call me that on purpose. then she caught me at a bad time once and I put her in her place, I still can see her jaw drop. among with everyone elses. needless to say she has not confused Melissa, with Michele since.

Is michele anyone from his past, or just annoyed that they cant get your name right? For us it was bad bc this is one person from DH's past that you just dont bring up

and ugh what a biotch that girl is to purposely call you a different name, some people are just miserable lol

she is from the past they were together 10 years. she use to hit dh and everything, she has problems, she really put him through a lot. I still do not understand why he put up with it, but I do not ask. she wanted to get married so bad, finally he took a job out of town and she accused him of cheating so she cheated and got preggo, she was married two years and he walked out. now she moved to lancaster.

Yea we have a few names we aren't allowed to say lol it is good you were able to just laugh it off because it was a mistake. I remember when DH and I were first starting to get together it was a very complicated situation because he was ending his relationship but they lived together so he was trying to move out and he was at my house one night and just called me her name, i was so upset and crying...he felt awful. At this point though we call them that girl we never use the names lol

Yeah its funny how if the name even comes up, it just turns bad lol. The only reason I didnt get mad is bc we JUST met these people and thats why, and not like a friend of his called me that name by accident or else i would have flipped out. And yeah i wont even think about what would happen if DH accidentally called me that name lol. Even if it was other names from his past it wouldn't be bad but this is the 1 bad one lol.

i know exactly what you mean, or sometimes its not as nice as 'that girl' but another name you would call them

my dh called me Michele a few times when we met, I was so upset I cried to he apologized over and over, so the last time he did it, I put my coat and shoes on and he said where you going, I said when you get over her call me, I may be available and maybe not, and I left. he called all night, I did not pick up, so at 1:oo am he was knocking at the door, and it never happened again.

ahhh thats such a hard situation. Bc i know when I first started dating DH, I did have to stop before i said his name to make sure i dont mess up bc i have a bad habit of doing this to people. The worst was when my friend started dating a new guy and i called him by the wrong name thank god it was noisy and i dont think he heard but others did and they all just looked at me like

one time dh called me by the wrong name. It was an ex who used to use this song as part of her name lol i know sounds weird, so i was singing the beginning part of the song(of course i had no idea when i was singing it) and he finished the line and automatically her name came out and he kinda just stopped and didnt know what to do lol. It was the only time and he was lucky it was early on lol. It was an ex i have no problems with so he was lucky with that too. His mom did that in the beginning too and also called me the same name and she would cover it up many times bc she would say the first sound and realize and not finish and hope i didnt realize lol but i always did. DH kept screaming at her. In the beginning though i definitely can understand how these things happen. I have had a habit of doing that too and bc i had a bad habit of doing this, thats why i always concentrated when i first met dh to make sure i don't
