My DH and I share the laundry, but he does it more than I do and complains about it to no end...I just tell him that his clothes are bigger, and he makes more laundry, so he's really just doing his fair share...

Re: FUP to doing DH's laundry...(with poll)
none of the above!
we live in the city, so it's really cheap to have the local cleaners do our laundry for us - man, i'm going to miss this when we move out of the city in a month!!

DH does it all - from sorting to washing to ironing ... he enjoys it! He grew up in a household where his dad was in charge of the laundry.

DH does more of it but I usually do most of the folding. It's nice to have a husband who likes to cook and do laundry and he even cleans the bathroom

we each pretty much do our own.... i had to teach him though- LOL hes an only child and his mom never worked, so talk about spoiled! LOL but he trained well, and does his own, although i end up folding it most of the time, because he just leaves it in the basket on the bedroom floor but thats ok, at least its only half the work for me

I do it all. DH hasn't done it since we were dating about two weeks. He kind of tricked me into doing it. He said he didn't know how and I said I did and so I started doing it....and am still doing it!
Now we have a washer and dryer, so I don't care b/c I kind of love being able to just doing it whenever I want.

I'm one of the lucky ones, DH does the laundry and he knows what he's doing too.

I made a pretty good deal (for me) with DH.
During football season, in exchange for doing all the laundry, he gets to watch all the football he wants.
Since we typically do laundry on Sundays, and that's when football is on, it's a good system. He changes loads and folds during commericals.
Outside football season, he does the loads and I help with hanging the clothes or folding. If I don't notice that he's folding though, he'll finish it all himself without asking me for help.
I hate folding and he knows it. I'm the youngest in my family and got stuck with doing all the laundry for 6 people all through high school. It soured me against laundry forever.

I'm dying about the fabric softener thing...My DH is really good about doing laundry, but I had to teach him to use fabric softener. Even after I showed him, he did some laundry and it REEKED of fabric softener. When I finally got him to tell me what he did, I found out that he filled the entire Downey ball with softener (you're only supposed to use one little capful which barely fills a third of the ball). I had to re-do all the laundry he'd done because it would've given us a rash...
That's really funny! I know what you mean about the rash, we can't even do fabric softener at all or even detergent with scents.

I have to guilt him into running it usually... but since I tend to do way more housework than he does (his job is manual labor so he often tries that as an excuse for not doing housework) I can 9 out of 10 times guilt him into folding the basketful's of laundry I wash :) And his mom was really anal about how laundry was folded super neat when he was a child, so he's really good at folding.
