Furniture Frustrations

Hey Ladies,

I have a problem. Back in April before our wedding (we got married in July) we ordered our bedroom furniture from roma 2000. We got the furniture two weeks before the wedding which was great, at least we had a bed to sleep in on our wedding night. We got the bed, dresser, night tables and all but another piece we didn’t get was the armoire closet which we need because we have no closet in the bedroom and the apartment has only three very small closets where we have other things stored. We have a lot of clothes to put away that’s why we ordered the armoire. But everytime I call I get a round around story. First in June when the other pieces came they said that the closet would come in july fine. July came and went no closet. I was given some story about how there was some mixup in the factory warehouse in italy (that’s where the furniture came from) so she said that they were expecting armoire closets in august and they should have them in by the 11th of august and they would give me a call but still no call and I am sick and tired of getting the round around from these people! Everytime I call I get a different story! I asked my husband to give them a call today and he said that he would ask to speak with the manager directly instead of the girl I’ve been dealing with. I don’t know what else to do at this point. I am really getting angry and frustrated!

Go to the store, with your receipt and demand to speak with a manager. Demand that you get a firm delivery date on your armoire right now! Does this violate any of the terms of your sales contract? Have you paid in full? If you are forced to, make a scene in the showroom (in front of other customers).

Yes i'm sure i have it somewhere but i think i left it at my mom's house. my husband is calling them today and we'll see what they tell him if not then we will have to go there in person. I hope that receipt is not lost. But we did not pay in full they told us not to because the armoire wasnt in yet so thank god for that at least.

How annoying!! I had a similar situation where they came and delivered my bedroom furniture a month ago and never installed the **** mirror and it is still sitting on my floor as I patiently await their return ,.....

That was very rude of them to do that! I dont understand why they just couldnt do it when they delivered the furniture. I am so ****ed off right now that if my husband gets nowhere with them on the phone today we will go in person and make a scene! and to really punish them I'll bring my mom along and let them hear her mouth! LOL they speak italian so she can give them quite an earful!

I just spoke with my husband who called the furniture store and they told him the same BS story I got. They too told him that they would call him back today and let us know what's going on. My husband told them to call us sometime before Christmas. He then said he would of course call them back later if he doesnt hear from them and I told him that the next time we call we tell them we want a delivery date otherwise we are coming into the store in person and will cause a big scene in front of all their customers!
