There is alwayss a graduation, birthday, wedding in the familyy... If its not that, its Mothers day, fathers day, and i love all holidays.... how can i control my spending I feel like on an average Im always spending a minium of 100$ ...all these ppl are so close to me. I have two friends who just had babies, that I need to go visit, my brother is graduating from college, and my first cousin is having his 12th bday party, and fathers day is coming up... what do u guys all do?!.....

Re: Gifts
i agree with the PP....you can just cut back on what you are spending on each person. You can still get really nice gifts for half that amount.

Re: Gifts
I was just talking to DH about this the other day!
We have a niece's, friends' child, a few cousins', and my good friend's bdays coming up. FIL's bday just passed, Father's Day is coming as well as my parents' wedding anniversary. Friends just had a baby as well.
And that's just the month of June.
We aren't giving as big of gifts as I would like. I think this year's anniversary gift to my parents is going to be very small, but they understand. Life is different with a mortgage. You sound like me... I would rather spend my money on others than myself. But it's not how big the gift is that counts. It's that you think of all these people in your life. Definitely cut back and only give what you can afford. Don't feel awful.
