FI and I are looking for an all-inclusive resort in the carribean. We want something quiet and secluded so NO families and not Sandals. We were thinking Aruba, St Johns, St Barts, St Lucia. But we are def open to other islands.
We want a great room (preferably villa and/or private pool) and good bars/restaurants.
CAN YOU HELP????
TIA

Re: Girls I need honeymoon help
OK, I know you asked for all inclusive, but my suggestion is not. We stayed in the Tara Suites at the Bucuti Beach resorts in Aruba and totally loved it.
Pros: The room was fantastic with a private balcony with real walls and furniture to sit outside. All the Tara suites face the ocean.
They discourage children - I think I might have seen one at the hotel the whole week we were there. the hotel has lots of honeymooners and lots of couples.
Their beach was better than all the other hotels I saw - lots of huts that are spread out and you aren't on top of one another
Cons: The hotel bar and restaurant is not that great, but we just took cabs to wherever we wanted to go and they do have beach service if you want food or drinks brought to you on the beach.
Because it is quiet, there are not really any activities at the hotel, but the desk staff is happy to help you with this and make reservations for you - also will call cabs and make restaruant reservations.
The pool was OK, but since we were all about the beach, we didn't really care. It was clean and we did use it once or twice, but really spent most of our time on the beach.
We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. It was the first time I was in Aruba, but I think many of the all inclusives do have children (I could be wrong on that...) If you don't want to be around kids, I would avoid the Tamarijn and the Divi all inclusives - they seemed nice, but it seemed like there were lots of families there. Hope that helps.

I was at the Divi Divi for a week and it wasn't a family place at all. Maybe at the Tamarijn I dont know i didn't stay at that hotel we went there a few times to walk around and stuff but I can't talk for that because I didn't stay there, as for the Divi like i said it was mostly couples..ask diamondgirlie she just got back...
The great thing about all inclusives is that we had drinks being handed to us every minute, the food wasn't terrible, we had about 7 places to go to eat that was included, and the beach was breathtaking, it was private not along the strip w/ the other hotels

You should try secrets resorts. They are all inclusive and all adults! They are FABULOUS I went to the Secrets in Dominican Republic. DH and I are planning a trip in Octiber to one of the resorts in Mexico.

You are probably right - it was the impression I got when we walked through - we didn't stay there.
I loved the Divi! There were a few families there but not many at all.
The rooms were a bit on the motel style side but that was the only downside.
The food was good (not 5 star or anything) but we ate ALOT so how bad could it be? The drinks are watered down but they are free, so just order another one. We werent out to get drunk so we were happy they were watered down, it made them more refreshing. The beach was so clean and big. It was never crowded at all.
I would check out www.tripadvisor.com for more reviews on various hotels.
If you have any more questions, just ask.

Re: Girls I need honeymoon help
we did Secrets Resorts in the Domincan Republic, Punta Cana. Couples only, no singles either, so there were no loud obnoxious drunk people (well, unless they were couples...hehehe).
It was an hr ride from the airport-not bad at all. Quiet, affordable, and breathtaking to say the least. They also built a resort in Mexico
