Girls who changed their passports

I had to change my name on my passport, so sent it in with my marriage license. I got my new passport back today but no marriage license. For those that did it, did everything come back in one envelope??

oh my gosh! i would have been so nervous if i got back the envelope without the marriage license.. i have to get my butt moving on changing my name! haha

I got freaked out too--I got mine back on Friday! The marriage license and old passport should come in the mail after.

How long did it take for the whole process? This is one of the last things I need to change my name on and I'm scared to let my passport go.

How long did it take for the whole process?

under two weeks for the whole process from mailing everything to getting everything back ... maybe about 10 days, tops ...

Mine took about 6 weeks. However, I was also doing a renewal on my passport at the same time.

If you do it within a year of getting married, then changing you name only is no fee.
