Girls who finished their albums..

I have a couple of questions. This damn album is frustrating the heck out of me.

1. How many pages is your album?
2. How many pics did you fit per page? I get a 30 page album and they said usually they can only fit 2 (sometimes 3) pics per page. Is this accurate? That would mean that I could only choose about 60-70 pics for a 30 page album (at least this is what they told me) ..this seems weird to me
3. Do backgrounds count toward the number of pics you can pick per page? They don't- right? At least I hope not
4. Did you end up paying extra money for more pages because you wanted more pics? I might have to do this..because its nearly impossible to pick 60 pics, when I love about 200 of them

I thought the 2 album choices were generally traditional and magazine style.. and if there is an option for a background picture, wouldn't that be a magazine style? I didn't think that style had a set limit of pictures.

I haven't done mine yet either because it is so confusing.. I'm no help sorry!

they are! I'm gettin a magazine style layout. And unfortunately yes it sounds like it does have a set limit of pics..I can't stand doing this anymore..its driving me insane!!

Hey Kristin! I know it's frustrating but what you have to try to do is pick the pictures you like and copy them to a folder. Then eliminate from that folder.

Our album was 52 pages. We choose 65 photos.

The photographer will chose the layout for the pictures and he can put 'X' amt of pics per page...just keep in mind the more pics per page the smaller the pics will be.

I was allowed 90 pic in mine..I handed in I think 5 extra pics (and had to pay for them) and up to 10 background pics (on the back of those I just wrote 'background') and let my photographers do their thing

We didn't have a set number of pages, just a set number of pics that we were allowed to include..they told you amount of pages instead of pics? Its hard to figure out how many pics u need to hand in then. Some of my pages only had one pic while others had like 6 small pictures so it ranged

Trust me Kristin...I know what you mean...we had 1200 proofs to pic from!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try what I said...copy to a folder and elminate from that! It will make it easier!

thanks! we already started eliminating some..but its so hard..because I want every part of the day to be in there..and with 60 pics i'm allowed, it feels as if I might have to eliminate major parts of the wedding

My album was contracted by picture, not pages.

I had 60 pictures in my contract... she added 70 at no charge and we wound up with 97 pics total costing us an additional chunk-o-change (but so worth it in our opinion).

I don't know how many pics that breaks down to per page, but when we did the mock-up (basically putting the pictures in the order we wanted them in a binder with sheet protectors) it worked out to 1-3 pics per page (I think).

We didn't do a magazine style album with background pictures. We did a traditional album with black background and mounted pics.
