I know there has been a bunch of you lately. How long were you sick? Were you throwing up?
I am trying to decide if I have food poisoning or a virus. My dad came over last night for dinner and a movie (date night with dad) and brought roasted chicken. He is fine but I am throwing up. We also gave a piece to the puppy and she had bad diarrhea all morning (which could also be the giardia, but its never been like that.)

Generally when you have food poisoning it's coming out 'both' ends...sorry to be graphic. But that is 'usually' the case. Also how frequently are you throwing up? I had a 24 hr virus last month & I threw up about 8 times in a row & then I was done for the rest of the day, was still nauseous a little, but felt much better after I threw up. Either way whenever you are expleting fluids more often than normal you have to make sure to keep your body hydrated. You lose a lot of electrolytes when you get sick - so drink lots of Gatorade, even if you're still nauseous - otherwise you will end up passing out from dehydration. feel better love! & I hope lil Candy feels better too - it just may be coincidence that she got sick...

I got sick at about 2:30, 4:30, 7:30 and 9.
Like I said my dad is fine, but he also has an iron clad stomach.

That was me. I thought I had food posioning too, but I think it was a stomach virus. I was so sick not to be gross but I threw up a lot through out the night on Sunday. I could not lay down for more than 10 min because I had the worst stomach pains. I did not sleep at all. I was achy and had hot and cold sweats.
Now my poor DH has it. I do not wish this anyone and I hope you feel better soon.
Drink lots of fluids and try to eat some toast or jello

Thanks, I think it might be that. Only thing is I don't come in contact with many people, but I guess you could catch things just being at the grocery store.

My husband sister & best friend all just had this. Atthe same time. It was 1 1/2 days of either throwing up or Diarrehea (sp?) or both & bad bad body aches. My husband seriouslythought hiskidneys were failinghe was in somuch pain in his lower back. But teh next daythe aches stopped & by that late afternoon his tummy felt better.. Its pretty bad though & its going around BIG TIME.

I was in the worst pain of my life and physically sick for about 6 hours but I couldn;t eat normal for about 3 days.,.. It felt sooo much like food poisoning so I am still unsure as to what it was.

STOMACH VIRUS!!!!!!! Its a quick moving one so you will be ok in 24 hrs and fine within a couple days. Once you stop throwing up dont go crazy with things you eat cause I felt fine but food would still make my stomach upset just no more vomit.

I had stomach virus, both ends, from Monday AM at 2 AM for about 30 hours, an ended up in ER needed IV fluids b/c I could not even keep down gatorade.
