what are your symptons, what do you take and does it help?
I get post-nasal drip (sp?), sore throat and itchy ears. Mostly I feel the symptons in the morning but sometimes all day. Nothing seems to help so any advice you have I will take it!

Re: Girls with allergies....
post nasal drip, itchy eyes and a lot of sneezing / stuffy nose. This is the worst year I've ever had and it's really not that bad, compared to DH anyways, he's out of commision for all of spring!

Re: Girls with allergies....
I get itchy and dry eyes...I live on visine this time of year. AS soon as lawn fertilizer and grass seed go down, I have abut 4 months of sneezing ahead of me. I take zyrtec which does seem to help a little (over the counter, but they do have prescription strength too I think).

Re: Girls with allergies....
I used to get AWFUL allergies. Sinus infections int he spring and fall. Every year I would need to get prescriptions for Nasonex. But ever since Ive been drinking this green drink called 'Green Vibrance' I havent had ANY issues with allergies. Its crazy! I havent been sick either. I did have a minor head cold early in the week but I drank my drink 3 times a day and drank Yogi Echinacea tea 2 times a day and I knocked it out right away. I will swear by Green Vibrance all day. Its a powder you put in some apple juice. It has vegetables, probiotics, immune support. Here's the link:
It doesnt taste the best but Ive been drinking it so long its not bad at all to me anymore. The 2 month supply is 70 bucks. I sound like an infomercial but I swear I dont have allergies anymore. Usually around this time of year Im a messsss.
DH and I are against prescription meds and feel like they are designed to keep you needing them which is why we started going into alternative medicine routes. So far so good.

Re: Girls with allergies....
I have never been this bad before with my allergies. This is brutal!
This year, I am super stuffed up, runny nose, itchy eyes, scratchy throat and post nasal drip like no one's business. It's disgusting because I have it all the time anyway, but it's 1000x worse now.
I already take clarinex and veramyst for my allergies. I've just doubled the dosage.

Re: Girls with allergies....
Post nasal drip, itchy watery eyes, runny nose, lots of sneezing. My springtime allergies.
This year, OTC Claritin are working for me. I take one every night at 9PM, it's good for 24 hours. Takes a couple of days to go into effect though.

Re: Girls with allergies....
Ok maybe I will stick with claritan every night.
I dont get them that bad but the throat is the issue, it is always inflamed and I just hate it. wont go into detail, TMI, but it has been discussed before on the 08 boards (the throat issue) so some will know what I am talking about!

Re: Girls with allergies....
oh no! Come May, I am the WORST! I get horribly itchy, watery, red eyes and lotsa sneezing. I'm miserable most of the month. I tried Benedril for a while and it nearly killed me (figuratively of course). It just made me soooo drowsy, which was way worse than the symptoms themselves. Clariton seems to be the only thing that helps. I love that stuff.

Re: Girls with allergies....
I usually don't get watery eyes, most of my symptoms are nasal congestion/sneezing. Only prescription strength medicine works for me. I used to be on Allegra but I developed an allergy to that. So now I'm on Flonase, which is a spray, I hate the feeling of stuff going up my nose but it helps. I don't take it every day, only a few times a week and it makes a world of difference.
