going away gift idea

ok so my best friend currently lives in DC but just got a job offer in California so she's moving at the end of this month.

a bunch of us are going to DC next weekend to visit her for a going away party type thing.

I thought it would be cute to get her a little something.....just a cute little gift related to California or something.

Any ideas what I could get?

A nice pair of sunglasses ...

I would make it something that has to do with being outside and it being sunny all the time, because that's the first thing I think of when I think of California!

I second that! Or a duffle bag with some sun stuff in it like sunscreen, and aloe and a beach towel?

is she a baseball fan..like maybe get her a dodgers t shirt

or a disney fan..something related to disneyland

maybe you could order online one of those maps to the stars home

is she a native ny'er? get her a t shirt that says i heart ny with a note saying we had you first

You could add an easy read chick lit book, maybe one with a CA theme, like the second assistant about a hollywood assistant or Jemina J, or something else that takes place in CA?
