I'm going to florida the first weekend in june to surprise my mom for her b-day. it will seem so weird to be away without dh. thank god for free long distance on the cell. i'm going to miss him. he doesn't have the time to take off. i'll be gone from fri-mon
has anyone gone away without dh for a weekend

I've been out of the country on and off for the past 2 months for work, so the only time we've actually seen each other has been on the weekends! It takes some getting used to, but we emailed a lot and talked on the phone usually once or twice a day.

I went to Californis last month without DH for a long weekend. I missed him terribly, but it was great seeing him when I got home!!

DH went to Trinidad for a gig Thurs to Mon and I was soooo lonely!!! I thought I would be so happy to bealone, but I missed him....

We have only been away from eachother for business so far. We miss eachother but it is not that bad. Just think you will be able to give your mom your full attention. I am sure she will enjoy that!

No but I might go on vacation with college friends for a long weekend this fall.....it will be okay - all we have to do is call if we miss each other. That will make is more exciting to see each other when I get back!

ill be going on busines trips, my bachelorette party was a weekend, he went ot vegas and i went to maimi
we have lived together for over a year so i cant imagine it being any different than when i had trips when we were engaged
its hard to leave him but we talk every day and sometimes its nice to give your time exclusively to other people or things..time like that is healthy and good for the relationship

We haven't spent a night apart yet, but I will miss him when it happens. There was almost a night when he stayed out in LI because it was so late, but he came home.

he goes away for a few days at a time to shoot in various cities. i miss him terribly, but i have to tell you, i love having the house to myself for a few days. Sleep in the middle of the bed, be a slob (he's the neat one), watch what I want, talk to my girlfriends on the phone for hours...
However, When I went up north or the 2 weeks before Christmas w/o him I almost lost my mind. 3 days is one thing, 2 weeks is another. I don't know how some of these couples do it where one person travels all over the world for business. I would be a mess!
Time apart is really nice sometimes - I think it does make the heart grow fonder - we have a great couple of days when he returns. (and welcome home sex is the best! )
