yea, its in florida, in a town called Viera, the town is made up of a whole bunch of community type houses - all surrounded by lakes and golf courses - its a really nice area - at first we didn't want to look there b/c its about 25-30 mins from my mom, its a little more expensive and it can be a little 'cookie cutter' looking with all the developments but its a lot closer to DH's job which is a plus - its kind of a midpoint between my Mom and DH's job which would be in Orlando - so it would take like 25 minutes for me to get to my parents and DH 40 minutes to work....whats nice about the communities is that people are forced to keep their homes and property nice - b/c Florida is weird like that, all you need is a bad neighbor who doesnt keep up with their home and landscaping to make the block look bad - so that is another plus of the community - and there are sidewalks!! which a lot of places in florida dont have any sidewalks (unless its a community), it has a jogging and bike trail, playground - seems like a good place to make babies!

there is actually a website kind of like LIF(but not as good!) for people who live in this county in florida - so ive been going on there talking to people - lots of young moms, young couples, it just seems like a really nice place - i def like it better than my Mom's area which is where we were originally looking....DH is like OMG you are making friends already hahahaha

yep, we want to move there eventually....we are looking in a place called Viera....

DH can transfer to Orlando when we are ready to go, so its just a matter of finding the right place - we aren't in any rush but if the right thing comes along we are going to go for it since we can afford to stay up here and have the house down there as a temporary situation until we were 100% ready to move down.....we've been looking at mostly short sales and pre-forclosure type houses - lots of people couldnt afford their brand new homes in florida - so with that type of sale it could take months to close...give us even more time to save up for things like appliances and furniture - those things make more than the house sometimes

we actually put an offer on a house in the summer (on a short sale), but it was taking forever for the bank to approve our offer and then we gave up on it - after the shower we realized we were going to need a house with a much bigger kitchen plus we decided it would be better if DH didnt have to travel so far.....so im glad it didnt work out....although that house still hasnt sold and is down from 160K to 85K
