I have done this so here is my advice:Put ALL of your proofs into time order- and I mean super order. Starting of the day to end. Then pull out the photos that you hate, people have their eye's closed, you look fat in, you hate the person in the photo...etc...etc... Have them in 2 different boxes, each box in time order.
Next use colored mini-post in notes (you can buy them at Office Max type places) and color code. Put a sticker on the photos your mom has to have, his mom has to have, you have to have. Each person gets their own color post it. Keep them in order though- not by person but by time. By doing that you are able to find photos easily.

I brought all of my proofs but only used the box of the ones that I liked. I didn't pull from the hate pile at all. And the color system saved me hours of time. Bring your water bottle, and a snack and prepare to spend a lot of time doing this. do the parent albums first. They are the quicker to complete. I felt accomplished by doing them first. Then begin yours, but you might need a second appt. to finish.

Listen to Michele...it take forever! I didnt do a traditional album so I didnt have to go thru quite the same process in Marks office but its a painstaking thing.

Bring them all but only bring in the ones you really want to put in an album. If you dont plan on upgrading your album to include more photos than is in your contract, be very very selective in the photos you choose for your 'must have'lists.
