No, just be careful and don't leave the compound, unless you are on a guided tour or something.. whcih I doubt b/c it's a bach party and you will be getting all tored up lol
A couple of my friends (like 4 of them) decided to take a walk and they ended up getting robbed.. and then when they went back the following year, they got robbed again. don't get me wrong, they are stupid for having left in the first place, but still lol

Re: Going to Jamaica...
I definitely wouldn't go anywhere without a guide and always stay together.
Make sure you go to Rick's Cafe...that was really cool. We took a boat from our resort to this place...you can cliff dive from here...I didn't, but, it's still cool to hang out at and the view is amazing.

Re: Going to Jamaica...
Dunns River and Ricks Cafe for sunset are both very cool. I would suggest taking one of those day tours that go to both places. The roads are pretty scary so you probably dont want to travel aruond too much.
If you are staying somewhere nice, I dont think you will have much trouble spending most time at your hotel anyway. The beach and water are beautiful.
We stayed in Montego Bay and I think the beaches and water were a lot nicer there than Ochos Rios but maybe I just spent the day at a bad beach.
Hope that helps.

Re: Going to Jamaica...
I went to Couples Negril around this time last year and the beaches are fantastic. I agree with the other ladies here that do not leave the compound unless you're in a guided tour. Usually there isn't much to see outside of the resort and they don't recommend to you walking around on your own. If you are staying at an all inclusive they have day trips to Rick's Cafe, shopping, etc. We also stayed in Montego Bay for a couple of days in a mom & pop place and it sucked!!! You couldn't walk the streets without someone coming up to you for money or weed (lol). My suggestion- Stay at an all-inclusive, it's worth the $$$.

Re: Going to Jamaica...
FYI if you are staying in Ocho Rios, Margarittaville is way overrated and really overpriced (Since you said it was a bachelorette party )

Re: Going to Jamaica...
Congrats! I just booked a trip to Jamaica yesterday for me and FI. We are leaving on March 19th. We are going to The Caves. I am so excited. I have heard a lot of negatives about Jamaica. I actually almost changed islands at the last minute. But we decided that we will stay on the property.

Re: Going to Jamaica...
I've been to Jamaica a few times. The bad part of Jamaica is Kingston which is like 3 or 4 hours from Montego Bay. No you should not leave your resort by yourselves, but on a tour its fine. I've never had a problem there.

We don't know where we are staying until 4 days prior. It's called:
Super Surprise Best of 2004
The perfect escape just got even better because the savings got even bigger! With SuperClubs’ Super Surprise you won’t know which SuperClubs resort in Jamaica you’re going to until just a week before you get there.
