Going to look at more houses **Update**

Wish me luck. Hopefully we find a house we love.. A true investment & money well spent. We already have an offer in on 1 house, we just dont want to put all of our eggs in one basket.

ok, so out of 4 houses..

house 1: very small, house has a crack in the foundation so the whole house is sloped. I bet if you put a marble on the floor it would race to the back of the house

house 2: Gorgeous. Going back to see it Friday

house 3: No show. The owners 'forgot' they had an appt so we waited outside for 25 mins before their realtor called us back to say 'hi, theyre unavailable- they have the flu'

house 4: no comment. Beyond disusting & dirty. Everything had food & drink residue on it. The windows and sliding glass door had dirty kid handprints on it.. Oh yea, and the DOG SHIIT on the floor upstairs. Apparently the owners are on vaca and the MIL is taking care of the dog. Clearly not doing a great job since the dog CRAPPED all over 1 of the upstairs bedroom floors

I feel like I need to take a disinfecting bath now. Jesus Mary & Joseph. That was a trip....

We're looking to stay in Bay Shore. That's where all of our family is. We're in an apt. here now. I grew up here, so did DH so this is where we're staying come helll or high water

ugg... i know how it feels going house hunting...we looked for over a year! it was a pain!

I feel the same way- I love Bay Shore plus I have kids in the school district.

It's been tough, a lot of the houses we've inquired about are in contract already!

Good luck!! I love looking at houses in Bay Shore. My friend and I used to go to open houses in Bay Shore/Brightwaters for fun. I love the old houses with the wrap around porches.

i guess one out of 4 isnt so bad. dont u hate it when owners dont show up? it's shows such a disregard for other peoples' time

I have family in Bayshore........that last house sounds like a real piece of work, maybe you should leave a bag of flaming dog poo on their doorstep w/ a note 'thanks for the tour of the litter box'
