Got my video yesterday!!

We loved it, Duet did such a nice job!!! The only problem is that I CANNOT STAND looking at myself. I am like, 'Do I really look like that in real life?' I am so self-conscious but I guess I will have to get used to it. Is anybody else uncomfortable seeing themselves on film? I kind of feel like getting one of that infamous black dots.

I hate seeing myself on camera, and I REALLY hate hearing my own voice. I can't believe that is what i sound like to everyone.

I think if you watch it enough with the right attitude (not while putting yourself down) and if you try to find the good things that you liked in your appearance, you will get used to it...

I hate seeing myself too. My veil fell off between the cermony and the reception and it was never put on right again. Everytime I watch the video that's all I see. And the fact that I needed more lipstick during the reception.

But everyone thinks I am crazy-we are our own worse critics.

However, when watching it all I could think about was HOW BIG MY NOSE LOOKS
When there are shots of me from the side the nose looks sooooo bad

Julz, I have to laugh at this because I was thinking the same about myself!!! The side profile makes my nose look bad!! I was thinking 'Jeez I always thought my nose was kinda cute,; didn't realize I needed a nose job!!' I also look like I have a double chin. I was actually against plastic surgery before I saw myself on video!!

I cant believe you guys are saying this!!!!!! Ever since the wedding pics, I hate my nose!!! I cant believe all this time my nose has been that big and I never knew!!!!!

OMG ME TOOOOOOOOO .. my double chin is so bad in all the profile shots of me.. and here I thought I was looking good, having lost a bunch of weight, etc.... but I have this nasty little chin and it makes me cringe

The other thing that I HATE is that my posture is so HORRIBLE as I am standing at the altar..throughout the entire ceremony it always look like I am slouching, its not an attractive sight and I Just WISH someone had scolded me and said 'stand up straight' because it really looks soooooooo bad.. it makes me look like I am terrified or something..

And let's not even get started at the sound of my voice on the tape .. AHH I HATE THE WAY I SOUND!!

OK, mind you I absolutely love my video, Duet did a great job and I would not change a thing.... I just cringe when I have to look at MYSELF too much.. and since I am the bride, well duh I am in it a LOT

OK tangent there - I am glad your love your video, Kathleen.. but just know you are not alone in the self-loathing of ourselves on film

Yes, congrats!!

I just watched mine again today and (again) was like WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH MY NOSE??????? I always thought mine was kinda cute too

However, I've got to say I still love watching mine over & over
