gown preservation

i need recommendations

one quote i got is $500
if that is normal, its fine
but i was looking for a little less

I paid a little more than that to have my gown cleaned and preserved at Meurice's Cleaners.....which reminds me, I have to go pick up my gown, lol.

WedClean does it for $149. I've read a lot of good things about them on LIW. I have yet to get my gown cleaned and preserved, but I plan on using them when I finally get around to it.

I think mines was around 200. I had it done through the bridal shop I purchased the dress from.

i know its about 100 to clean it but i want it preserved with the guarantee of anti-yellowing
did any of you get that too?/

supposedly you should be able to take it out and everything and nothing will happen to it

Hear me out..... the cost of cleaning /preservation varies sooo much... from about 150-800+. In the end, all gowns come back in the same fashion... sealed up. you can't really inspect the work.

I suspect there is a wide range on the quality of preservation. I bet some only clean, while others clean, spot clean, and repair.

there HAS to be a difference in the services when the cost varies 5 fold......

so you might want to consider that when choosing a company....

i was told that a regular dry cleaner just cleans it
the preservation i was looking at enables it to not be sealed

you can take it out; look at it
they say to do it once a year, if there is any yellowing, they guarantee for 50 years
