how many people did you invite vs how many people came?

did yoiur gl have a lot of out of town ?

My guest list was 181, 140 rsvped yes with 5 people canceling the day before, so I had 135 in total. I had maybe 10 people out of town come, and they all stayed with relatives so I never had to make hotel blocks or anything. I did ask them however if they wanted one and they said No they will make there own arrangements.

From polls in the past, 20% no's appear to be the AVERAGE. Some people have more, some people have less, but if you're doing guestimates, I'd say use 20% not coming as a rule of thumb.

Also, DH and I went through our guest list before we started getting RSVP's and said who we thought would be yes or no. Some of our friends thata we invited with a guest came alone, so that could make a difference too.

We invited 185 - we got 125... (Thank goodness!)

We only had 2 cancellations last minute .. one couple and one where the wife was ill, but the husband still came!

We had a 19% no rate. Our final number was 186 and we invited 236.

are you worried you'll be way over or under?

we invited 138 total people (everyone got a plus 1)

we only had 8 no's but many who decided not to bring a date so our final count was 105. had 3 VERY last minute cancellations which brought us to 102. our minimum was 100 so I was very happy with how it worked out.

we had a very low no rate so it was amazing that people ended up deciding to come stag

I invited about 310. I ended up with 151, but then in the last week and with no shows I think I had 142.

We did have a lot of OOT, but we had a ot of unexpected No's as well. Our minimum was 170, so we paid for a lot of empty seats
