I just read an article on AOL about a detox that Gwyneth Paltrow does to lose lbs and clean the body. It seems interesting and I think Im going to try it. She also has really good, healthy recipes. Just wanted to pass it along..

totally unrelated, but just reminded me of something i heard today.... i just found out that this chick i know who lost a TON of weight did a 'raw foods' diet... like she ONLY ate raw foods

i cant imagine thats too great for you... but she lost a lot of weight

I know i will win this bet lol so i didnt mind making the bet since i wont lose money. Although i'll be really screwed if i do lose hmmm lol. I personally don't know if i would even take the $300 from DH, i am using this more for motivation. I know the competition will help push me but to be honest, i made the bet more to motivate DH. I said i was going to start anyways and DH has been complaining he gained weight but doesnt want to work out. I said something about losing 20 pounds and dh bet me that i cant lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks, i said how about we both get in on this and see who loses the 20 first, and dh is extremely competitive so he took the challenge. I knew this was the one way to get him to lose the weight he's been wanting to lose. It was just my way of pushing him, its funny bc i was taunting him and saying there's no way he will win and he gets so mad lol. At the supermarket last night he bought himself so many healthy things and ate so well last night lol.

that diet actually sounds good! I may try something like that this summer when Im off, I would be nervous to try that at work....don't you need the bathroom a lot with a detox diet ?

awww man i read the diet lol, im gonna do my own i'll do the same thing i did a few years ago when i lost 35 pounds.

was is the word lol, i gained quite a bit of weight since the wedding, about 25 pounds to tell you the truth. I even had to go shopping for new bras yesterday bc none of mine were fitting me anymore, it was horrible. And took forever bc im not the same size anymore so had to try on so many to see what size i am now. So annoyed bc it was hard enough finding bras in my size and now going from D to DD will be even harder. Most of my clothes don't fit anymore. Its funny bc i tried putting on a pair of jeans the other day and i couldnt even get close to closing them lol, there was no chance. If i dont do something soon i'll be close to gaining 30 pounds since wedding.

actually raw food diets are supposed to be amazing for you - not like raw meat or anything like that but raw fruits and veggies... dh was showing me this website that the model carol alt only eats raw foods and she swears it helped her battle cancer because nothing is processed there are no chemicals etc... when you think about it i guess it makes sense b/c that's what we ate way back when humans were first in existence. me, if I can't factor wine or cheese in somewhere, it just won't work for me DH was trying to be helpful b/c it would be great for all my stomach issues

yeah with a lot of diets i find that its hard to keep on them for long ya know. So i just think of foods that I like that are healthy and don't mind eating. Finding different ways to give more bland food flavor. I'll use lemons, spices, garlic, onions, green and red peppers alot when cook to give food more flavor. And working out mostly, for me i notice results so much quicker when i work out instead of just eating well.

lol thank you, i hope he does it too though. I know it's been bothering him so I want him to get to his ideal weight too. He starts softball soon so he thinks he has the advantage bc of that lol

The South Beach helped jump start me before the wedding. Maybe I'll try that again.

the whole blog looks neat w/the recipes and such....they all actually seem pretty healthy to me & very nutritious.. but man - that first day of detox seems like one GIANT laxative i think my hiney hole would hurt! (for real! every single thing is to make u go! coconut milk would be enough on it's own!)
