DH just told me that GHI refunds us for our gym membership fee. We are going to join the gym May 1st (fee for 1 yr $245) and GHI will reimburse us...how cool is that!

When I had Oxford they did that too- but you had to prove that you went a certain number of times a year

We have aetna and they also give you money back not sure how much per year. They also give you discounts at Jenny Craig.

not sure, the gym right around the corner from our house 'Powerhouse' gave DH that info. I would assume the gym doesn't matter as you are getting a refund from your health insurance.

I just checked out the GHI website and it listed this
Save up to 30% on monthly membership fees at participating facilities. With no long-term contracts, you can cancel at any time. Join a participating club online or call (800) 595-8448.
I'm going to try to call tomorrow and see if there is any more info

My cousin has this. its pretty great BUT they only reimburse you if you go a certain number of times per month and if you dont for that month then you get no money

That's awesome! Free is always good for me. For those that do not have GHI though should check with their companies that they work for or their health insurance and see what you can do for a discounted membership.
Since I work for Met, I have Global Fit which is a great benefit. I heard a lot of major corporations have Global Fit.

I called GHI and they said that GHI offers through a partnership with Quest Fitness Network a discount for your gym membership. You should mention that you are a GHI member they said... and the man at GHI gave me the phone number and website.
I called them up and they said you can get from 15-30% off of your membership at their approved gyms (which are listed on their website) all you do is put in your insurance info and your zipcode to find out about the gyms. They said you DO have to join the gym through their website in order to get the discount. I'm going to check it out and see if any good gyms near me are listed
