Anyone know of a gym for women only, that has classes for those of us that have more than a few pounds to lose?

There is one in RVC, they have a co-ed portion upstairs and than downstairs is for women only. It's on Merrick Road by 7-11, not sure where you are located.

Lucille Roberts is super cheap too.
I paid $23 a month (for the Gold/ upgraded membership so I could go to any location). I think a regular membership is $20 a month.
Fun classes.

Thanks everyone...
On the Lucille Roberts commercials, all you see are women that don't need to lose weight.....
I work next to a gym and the people that go into the gym to not look like they need to go to a gym to lose weight.....
I'll look into Lucille Roberts and see what kind of classes they offer
thanks again

Trust me, that commericial does NOT accurately represent the cliental at Lucille's. When I went, there were all shapes and sizes. Its great because everyone there is in the same boat, and not there to flirt and show off!

I belong to Lucille and I love the classes. I take triple fat burner and kickboxing. If you look on their website they show the schedule of classes depending on the location you want to go to. Believe me the women that go there is real life is nothing like the commericals. There are all different types of women at all different levels. You can just go at your own pace and what you feel comfortable with. You will not be alone!

I dont look like anyone from the commercials and neither do most of the women that go there- dont worry you will be in good company!

Re: Gyms for Women only
A few years ago, I went to a gym in Hicksville that was for women only.
I walked in the place and everyone kept staring at me. Finally, an employee walked up to me and asked if she could help me. I said that i was interested in joining. She said that someone would be right with me. After about 30 minutes of sitting there and watching people stare at me and watching employees walk past me, I finally left.
