hair accessory question (with poll)

Ok ladies I need your help. Its a minor thing but I thought I would ask to get some new ideas.

For our pics right around the corner I thought to purchase a hairpiece similar to the one Laura let me wear in the Bpics because I love the vintage look and felt it would dress up my hair a little being as I am not getting it professionally styled or anything.

So I contacted Myra at Esty.com. She is such a sweet girl. Her work is really amazing. But now I am ina dilemma…

I originally asked for a piece based on another one she had made for someone else. BUT now seeing it with the red, not feeling it so muc. She will change it till I am happy but I don’t know what will make me happy.

So I am posting the original one, mine and a new one I love.

My options are A) change mine by taking out the red so it looks just like the original (#1) or seeing if she can sell this one and make ma whole new one in red but the design would be exactly like #3-just red rather than purple.

What do you ladies think?

Original hairpiece I asked her to base mine on:

My piece…originally I loved the look of the one she based it on but I am just not feeling it…I don’t know why..just feel it doesn’t all “go” if that makes sense?
#2.)

Piece I am coveting…I LOVE this…I am thinking if it were in red, it would pop more against my hair and in pictures. What do you guys think? It has polka dots in the feathers (to match my shoes) and the pearls like I wore the day of…

Yea Hayley-sorry if its was confusing!

Its for the day After shoot. I wanted somethign to 'dress up' my hair because I will likely just blowdry it straight rather than get it styled.

jenn i like the idea of having some red in your hair since you'll have a red sash on your dress... i like the 2nd one that you don't love cuz its white and red.... hmmm i can't decide

Yea me neither. Do you think it looks cohesive though? I guess I feel that the red sorta seems ot come out of nowhere. But maybe because I have the sash it will look fine?

what if she replaces the blck/white polka dot sheer parts with more of the red polka dot one? i think it would look more cohesive then, and it would look great w/ your white dress and red sash & shoes

Hard to vote on this one Jenn!!
I love the first one, like the second and am kind of 'meh' about the 3rd. 2 and 3 seem a little 'busy' but that could be the angle of the photos. Also, you'll need to make sure the red bits really match your sash and/or shoes so you're not clashing.

But I REALLY loved the one you wore in your bpix (the headshot), any chance of Laura letting you use it again for the day afters, or buying one like that? The mesh part was SOO vintage and gorgeous, I thought it looked spectacular!!! Can you post that pic again???

Its my same old wedding dress but I will provbably be wearign a red sash similar to the second pic-Yesi is letting me borrow it.

Dress that inspired the sash: I plan to wear a red sash similar to this to offset my shoes. Thats why the piece had red in it. But do you think its too much to have the red in my hair as well?

hmmmm, jenn now that i see the inspiration pic again, i think #1 would go really well!

oh and i really hope my sash goes w/ your shoes!!!! i'm now worried they might be different reds!!!

Yea II agree with you. 2 is just not working for me for some reason. Can't think why. Thats why trying to get other opinions to maybe find the rght adjective.

liked that BPic one too-I was surprised because I didn't think I'd love the netting but I did. Laura would totally let me borrow it again but that one is like a burgandy brown color so doesn't really match the dress.

I am sure it will be fine. I don't think it will be THAT noticeable if they are different reds but if worse comes to worse I do have plain red shoes. No worries chicky.

Ok then, I think it looks as though the sash and shoes are actually clashy. The shoes have more of an orange-y tint, where the sash seems more burgundy?
Can you get the sash in advance and see if they work? Photos often don't represent the colors accurately.
And the headpiece is still sick on you Seriously, I'd check out some of the accessory places around penn station; you're pretty close to RK bridal too, maybe they'd have something???
I think you won't need more color around your face, so I'd vote for plain white/ivory, and let your makeup and pretty face be the star of that show...

I say go with either the first one or...
ask Laura to borrow hers again and maybe go get some double stick tape and insert just like 2 or three lose red pedals where they join. Make sense. See if it can be done.
I really love the one you used for the B pix the netting is just HOT!

I would go for the RED!!!!

They're your day after pics adn I think you said you were going to do fun stuff in the city like going to a hot dog vendor etc!! I think your dress and the cute flower in your hair would be perfect!!

They again, I had all my BMs wear a red flower in their hair, my sister MOH wore a white one! The red definitely stood out!!!

Thanks Maria. I looked at your pics and definetly prefer the red but now i am torn because of the fact that a good point was made about all the red shades clashing. I never thought of that.

I even polled DH and e said maybe all white but add the netting (like the one I wore in the BPics) and wear red lipstick. (Hah if only he KNEW he was decribing what i did for the B pics! )

BTW-I hope you know I TOTALLY stole the shots of you and your DH playing on the park swings and slide for inspiration for ours. So MUCH fun!

LOL.....wait till he see's your B-Pics!!!

Yeah the slides and swings were my favorite part of the day....I felt so carfree...although my mom was flipping out that my dress was in the dirt!!! YOu can actually here me in the unedited part of my video say 'Chillo ut mom I was all lady like for the cememony and now i'm going to have fun....It's not like i'm going to use the dress again!'
