Do you ever get your hair and makeup done when you are a guest to a wedding?

really thou - it is due to the 'kind' of wedding that will be my deciding factor usually.

Sometimes I get my hair blown out, but I've never gotten my make-up done just as a guest.

i've gotten my hair & makeup done before for a wedding of a friend---but only a couple times

No, I have always done my own hair and make-up. It's strange I don't want to take any chances in the event that I am not happy with it. I won't have enough time to perfect it. I like the way I do my make-up anyway.

Funny because I am going to my SIL's wedding in a few weeks. I am not in the bridal party so I already did my own trial run with my hair. I already know what shades of makeup I am wearing the day of also. If I was a bm in a wedding then I would get my hair done at a salon or have my mom do it for me.

nah, i do my own if im just a guest. waste of money for me. i can see maybe getting hair blown out tho.

i have before but not that often, most of the time i do it myself. I have a wedding coming up in october that i might do this for. Its black tie and i feel like doing something with my hair and with it being short i dont know what to do so thinking of doing soft finger waves if it works. Theres this place in bayside that does great make up for $30 so might get my make up done too. I have a feeling i'll end up doing my hair myself and just getting the make up done. I cant do smokey eyes or anything with eyeshadow, wish i could or i'd do it myself lol

can't justify spending the money....closest to it is I'm planning to get a haircut and blowout before a wedding we're going to this weekend....but that's moreso just timing my haircut so I can use the blowout to it's fullest advantage

I've gone to a clinique or mac and had it done for free, then bought a lipstick or something cheap. Cuz I'm poor

Never have... but step BIL is having a black tie wedding in November so I might get my hair done... I can do my own makeup.

it helps if you have a couple of hours to kill haha. Last year Dh was in a bridal party. We live in queens and both ceremony and reception were in LI. WEnt to LI for the ceremony and of course DH had to go take pics with them after so basically my choices were to drive from queens to LI for ceremony then back to queens to just kill time and then back to LI, which seemed stupid to me. So i decided to make a hair and make up appt in massapequa by where the ceremony was. This way i stayed in LI while they took pics and then after i was done it was time to drive to reception, so worked out perfectly for me and much better than driving back and forth from queens to LI and back again. It actually gave me something to do during a couple hours gap between ceremony and reception.

I always get my hair blown out for a wedding. I do my makeup myself.

It usually depends on whose wedding it is for getting hair AND makeup done. Sometimes I just go and get my hair done for any special occasion because I can't do anything with my hair on my own.

never. I like to do my own makeup. I even did it for my own wedding. I'm not good at doing my own hair, but for someone else's wedding I just blow dry it straight and maybe pull some of it back. I do get my hair done when I'm a BM though.
