Same here. I have actually picked a piece of my dog's hair out of my food and still eaten it.

if its mine it wont bother me... i used to put my hair in my mouth all the time...

my niece on the other hand... it doesnt matter if its her own she will puke at the sight of it

I do but not as drastic as it it were someone else's.

I am a bit OCD'ish......If I see hair I usually stop eating and throw it out.

But if it is my hair, I get grossed out and take it out and take a deep breath and proceed to unhappily to eat it. All the time thinking how grosss it is, so I don't enjoy the meal at all.

It is like a mental punishment for me.....I have to eat it coz it is my own fault for letting it fall in there in the first place. So it is kind of like punishment, so the next time I am more careful. I know it sounds crazy, but heck I am crazy!!
