Happenings lately

HI all! It's been a while since I've posted... I've been busy!

I was let go from my last job on June 30th... went to a wedding in Rochester (Had a great time!!), then went to Niagara Falls for a couple days.

I've been packing every single day - our co-op is a wreck!!

One LIW bride was kind enough to give me some work to do over the past couple of weeks to make some cash - it's been really fun (and I got to work on some of her wedding stuff, which was really a blast! )

Tomorrow, we're having a garage sale in Nesconset with my brother-in-law and his wife... going to a wedding at Inn at East Wind Sunday... Monday, a truck/trailer is coming to pick up my truck and DH's 2 cars and ship them to NC... Tuesday, we get the Uhaul truck to pack up all of our cr@p... Wednesday, we drive to Morrisville NC.

I can't believe that I'm leaving Long Island! I have lived here my entire life, but things have changed so much. I don't feel 'special' living here. I feel like I've been taken advantage of - money and job wise in the past. I'm really looking forward to a slower paced and hopefully happier life.

I was talking to the girl I'm working with and I started to get upset at the thought of leaving LI for the last time - in less then 1 week!!! I knew it would be sad, but I guess reality is starting to set in.

Thank you all again for the help and friendship over the past 7 months I'll miss the friends I've made, but hope to keep in touch via email - you know who you are girls

North Carolina is BEAUTIFUL. We went there for a wedding in April, and we really enjoyed it.

We are going to NC in 3 DAYS!!! Where are you moving?

We too are sick of the 'quality' of life here, and know we would never be able to afford anything nice. NC offeres so much!

I know that feeling you're having of leaving New York. To make a long story short, we tried to move to Florida 2 years ago. Although we gave up our entire lives here in New York (our jobs, apt., family), it was so scary to have to say goodbye. My mom was not a happy camper as she cried like a baby as we pulled away from her house that morning. Needless to say, my DH got extremely homesick and within 9 weeks, yes 9 weeks, we were back in New York !! Now we laugh about it and call it our very expensive, extended vacation !

I want to wish you all the best of luck with your new life outside of New York. Believe me if it were up to me, I'd still be there in Sunny Florida, but love is much more greater than Florida.

We are going to Morrisville - which is outside of Raleigh. Where are you going to? You can help us unload our moving truck!!!

Oh, and I'm not leaving the board - I'm just spending a little more time on the puter in general... how can I leave you girls?!
