That it is not you going thru all the stress?! When my BIL got married in May, I was calm as a cucumber, it was the first wedding I was at since I was married. I felt this sense of calm and got to enjoy myself. I do not know when I was engaged it was like I wish my day would get here.. now that I am married I enjoy weddings a lot more. Anyone else?!

I completely agree; I can't wait...we have one in July and I'm so excited to just relax and enjoy it! My parents went to one last month and they had a blast...nothing to worry about! It wasn't their kid getting married and anything that went wrong did not concern them!

I'm very glad to have had the experience but I never want to plan another wedding (mine at least) again. Too much stress for too little time. One day of your life and it became all-consuming. So over it! Just cannot wait to finish my reprints, get my photo album and get my edited video. Then I'll be DONE!
ETA: We went to a wedding 2 weeks ago. I couldn't help compare certain things but overall I'm glad to just be a guest for now on!

We have 2 in July and although I was never stressed over my wedding planning, it'll be nice to be a guest again. ALthough I know, in my head, I will compare both weddings to mine to see what was done nicer or better. One is at the Inn at East Wind and the other in Rochester - 2 very different weddings, I'm sure.

We had one 3 weeks after ours and I made sure I had plenty to eat at the CH since I ate nothing at mine!
Seriously, it was great - all the fun of a wedding without all the hassle. And our day went so fast! I think we danced a lot more with each other at the friend's wedding than at our own.

I haven't...but the responses remind me of what Academy Award nominees/winners say when they're just presenting...they ewnjoy it without the stress.

being a guest a wedding is the best... i wanted to be a guest at mine for the party we had.
but now..i feel like i'm critqueing everybodies wedding. is that wrong?

Not me, I've been to two and I was jealous I want to do it over and over again! I didn't really mind the stress. DH on the other hand he would not be able to handle planning another wedding with out being seriously medicated!

I have been to one so far and it was great being a guest and not have to worry about the little things, etc. I did critique certain things at the wedding.

I am going to a wedding on July 1 (our first since being married) and can't wait to be a guest!! My DH is in the bridal party so it will be a little weird but I am so looking forward to going to another wedding.

Im going to 2 in July and I cant wait! I was so preoccupied with all the little details at my own wedding that I didnt enjoy it as much as I should have.
