Has anyone ever been to the Bahamas in October?

Or is this considered 'off season?'

Yes...I am thinking about my one year anniversary trip already...I want to go to the Atlantis!!!!

Make sure you will not be affected by hurricane season! (I don't remember when it begins there)

I believe hurricane season is in Sept. but the good thing, if you go to a sandals is they have a hurricane guarantee... If a hurricane hits on any of the days that you are there, you get a free identical trip back.
We went to st. lucia which is further south (I think) and it was beautiful weather...

If you do decide to go to the Bahamas go to Breezes, they have a huricane guarentee if there is a huricane during your stay they will allow you to come back for a return stay for free (you need to pay for your air fare). It happened while we were there a couple was there who was on their FREE return trip. The hurricane occured on their second to last day of the vacation and they employees had everything up and running immedately after the hurricane besides one of the pools which needed the sand to be taken out. They got a free stay of the whole vacation, the man even said that they really didnt even know if they deserved it b/c their vacation wasnt ruin in anyway.

They are just very very nice at Breezes and it helps that it is ALL inclusive. All you can eat 24 hours a day and drink 22 out of the 24 hours and days are planned with activities if you want to be involved great if not they leave you alone.
Best vacation I have ever been on.

Hurricane season actually starts June 1st and runs through November I believe.

Atlantis is gorgeous BTW I went in August a few years ago
