Has anything in your relationship changed?
I have only been married 3 weeks today, but DH and I are trying to figure out what people mean when they say that marriage changes things. Does it really change things?

he's more considerate now towards me or at least verbalizes/shows it more...he'll get me something from the kitchen or help with chores

I think it has changed - things feel more final now whereas when we were engaged, it kind of felt like we were still dating......

YES! Now all those long talks about the 'future' are actually NOW!

Re: Has anything in your relationship changed?
yeah its no longer 'if the time comes when we have kids... ' it's now... 'WHEN we have kids....'it def feels more secure and permanent.... even when i was engaged it didn't feel as permanent, probably because i was engaged before and had that broken off.
our relationship hasn't really visibly changed all that much, except for just having the closer feeling of being husband and wife (which i still giggle at)

Re: Has anything in your relationship changed?
Honestly, I only feel more secure in our relationship. We are just so comfortable, but always have been. I'd say nothing other than that has really changed.

Yes - the feeling of security - not that I was insecure to begin with - but now - I don't know - Its real.

Re: Has anything in your relationship changed?
I think people tend to respect your relationship more with DH. The bank had an important call for him the other day, and I answered the phone. I said 'this is his wife, maybe I could be of assistance'. And I took the matter over completely, sight unseen. Dealing with real estate agents, bankers, employers and employees has been better. I just feel like marriage makes you seem more adultlike to the rest of the world, no longer irresponsible bachelor types. Mind you I don't necess. agree with this, but this is what I've experienced.

Re: Has anything in your relationship changed?
I wouldn't say many things have changed..our relationship has become more intimate and more secure.Marriage has changed our social lives. We tend to spend more time with each other than with friends, we enjoy going out as a couple. Rather than just make a big decision on my own, I will discuss it with DH.
