Have any of you become more 'domesticated'......

since you got married???

I find now that I want to cook more and such...all my friends say that I have become 'domesticated'...just wondering about you guys, LOL!!!

Haha, quite the opposite for me. Dh was layed off right after we got back from the honeymoon, so he's been home doing all the domestic stuff and I've been lazy doing nothing.

I feel a little more domesticated, but not as much as i wanna be! lol DH does a lot of the cooking and that makes me feel like im not a good housewife! I grew up in a house where my mom for the most part did all the cooking, all the cleaning, and laundry all that fun stuff! not that my dad didnt do anything but he was the handy man and bbq'er! lol
and even tho i know it doesnt matter, but i feel like i should be doing all that! and cooking more, i want to! but DH usually has everything ready for when i get home, and alot of the times im lazy too!

aww that's sooo nice of him!!! LET him do the cooking for a little while!! it will be a nice break. You have soo many years to do it. haha!!

No...we have been living together for over three years so nothing has changed at all. I still do the same things I always have done and so does he. I find myself cooking more often but that is only to save money.

yes!!!!!!! was always a neat person but i have totally become a neat freak cleaning everything in site so our new place is always spotless

Even though we were living together before we got married I have become a little more domesticated. I have always loved to cook but now all I want to do is cook new things and bake.. I even enjoy cleaning I guess I like the idea of taking care of someone sort of...DH loves to cook too and he helps clean so its nice to share all the responsibilities but lately I really feel like I am the one who wants to do it all.. I am so weird I am pretty sure it will wear off fast so DH should enjoy it while it lasts.

I haven't had a choice....if I don't do the laundry, cook the dinner, pack the lunches, clean the floors and bathroom...we'd be starving and naked. I've got a good system down so so far so good, but I went from basically having a free ride to having to do it all, and DH went from having a free ride to STILL having a free ride. Monkey. At least he'll make the bed every other day.
