Have you gone back & edited?

If there were vendors that you were really impressed by during the planning phases, and you raved about them on here ... and then they let you down for the Big Day ...

Did you go back & edit old posts you wrote about them?

I would love to, but i don't think i have that find of time

its only 1 vendor for me, and I've posted everywhere about them by now so i guess its not worth it

really? i'm the only one who thought of this? am i that much of a vindictive person?






i guess i thought of it because since our wedding i know of 2 people who've had problems with the same highly recommended vendor on here ....

so since i'd no longer recommend them, i went back and added my thoughts ... thought it made sense to ensure that my p.o.v. was there in the searches on the boards

(fortunately, it was only a small handful of posts ... just searched for posts with the company name & my username)

Not usually but I did for my photographer ONLY because he was SUCH a douche about the whole thing. When I mentioned that our formals were bad he gave me the run around. I didnt like that he saw them when he edited, KNEW they were bad and didnt tell me, knowing I wouldnt know until I tried to reprint. That was SHADY. And then he had the nerve to say he would re-edit them for me 'when he got around to it because he was really busy with other weddings and new brides.' WHAT?!! My wedding was in JULY ya jerk! Sorry but I come before the Dec brides!

Whats messed up is I wrote him such a nice review for his site too before i realized how bad the formals were.

I clicked on a post that was a related topic at the bottom of a thread. When I saw what thread came up I saw i had posted about a vendor. I edited it to read:

I used them

i don't have the time and patience. lol

only one vendor disappointed me on my big day--and they aren't even a vendor on here....although they are quite popular. and the disappointment was too small for me to really go and re-edit. i said my peace in my review about them.

Nope, truthfully its almost pointless. When someone does a search for that vendor (unless they use your name) they get every post in date order from most recent to oldest...I know when I have done a search I only get thru about 3 pages before I stop searching.

These posts of mine appeared on the 1st & 2nd pages for a search on this particular vendor (without using any usernames)

I'd say they're relatively popular .... its not something that gets asked about as often as flowers though ...

I dont know then, most likely I would have edited it too if they did me wrong. I just know Im not going thru over 20k posts to find them all
