A couple months back I posted about how difficult it was to get my ring off...we all figured it was because of the humidity.
Well over the last week or so, it is almost impossible to get ON and OFF!! I probably shouldn't have forced it on this morning but I can't bear to not wear it! It's like my ring finger blew up or something. I don't get it!!!
Any advice? Anyone going through the same thing? It's so upsetting!!

so I've noticed that if my finger begins to swell a bit due to water retention or some other cause, and I wear a ring that's a smidge too tight, that finger has much more trouble losing the water weight, and it gets puffier than the others....
switch your ring to your right hand for several days, and drink a lot of water. It should go away. Since it's a plain gold band, you might want to get it enlarged a bit.... it's easier to deal with slightly loose rings than slightly tight ones
this is what i would do!
ive noticed that if i shower, sleep, etc w/ mine on, my finger is a little sensitive. i thinks its bc if youre leaving it on all the time and your water retention changes, your ring gets tight, lose, tight, etc. and it might irritate your finger as your ring digs in a little. i usually just wear my rings when im out, but when im hanging around the house and its just us (or im showering or sleeping) i give it a breather!

OMG. i am having the same exact problem! we figured it was the heat (since we moved to CA) but it's JUST that finger.. and my weight has stayed the same. i actually went so far as to go to a jewelry store and have my ring finger measured -- GUESS WHAT? it went up 1/2 size!!! i am completely baffled as to WHY!
just a hint... spray some windex all on your finger and ring if it's stuck and immediately twist it off!

my ering has always been so slightly smaller( it was my moms and we haven't had it resized yet) but my wedding band fit fine until I get my period every month and then its so tight it hurts to put and take off, yet the rest of my rings fit fine.
It might be water retention, in that case watch your salt intake for a few days and drink lots of water, and see if that helps.
I don't think its an allergic reaction only because your pinky and midle fingers would be puffy too from the skin touching the gold.
If your finger is puffy, stop wearing your ring and see if it goes down over the next few days. Again it might be water retention.
