Hawaii Honeymooners

Hi Newlyweds -
Looking for some info. Anyone go to the island of Molo'kai? It's very small, secluded, and somewha rustic - cottage on the beach type of thing. Our travel agent told us it's very tahiti-ish. I don't want to spend the whole honeymoon (if we go) in some big hotel - that feels like it's in any major city!! We may want to spend a few nights in Molo'kai - just looking for advice and opinions from those fo you who have been there!

never been there but I think that was the island that many visitors from Kauai went to for snorkeling (there were day trips offered).
If that's the same one, it's really secluded....I didn't want the high rise hotel thing either but that would be too rustic for me! Kauai was the best IMO. Very Hawaii-like, untouched beauty but still had some cute towns.

yes, molokai is the island where everyone goes snorkeling & scuba diving.

i highly recommend kauai if you are looking for some seclusion rather than a big city. also, while honolulu is very busy, the north shore of oahu is beautiful & secluded. there are some nice resorts there.

I also agree kauai is perfect for what you described. We relaxed and enjoyed it so much.
